As Described
3 weeks out of my laparoscopic hysterectomy, I decided to give these a try because I want to move around more, go out in public, and the compression belly wrap I've been wearing is more bulky. I read all the reviews and decided to go with the s/m size (5'6" 148). When I pulled them out of the package, I thought, "oh no, these will never fit, but I got them on, and I could still breathe. I choose to wear them over my underwear because the label inside says, "hand wash only." Wearing underwear underneath is fine. They are tight, for sure, either way! But it's a compression garment, it's supposed to be tight. The waist is all the way up to my rib cage just under my bra line (like the photo). Depending on how I'm moving, it does roll down slightly maybe 1/4 inch in front, but not at the legs. I've only worn them under soft waste band type pants (I'm not wearing jeans yet). My pants are a bit slippery over these since the waist bands don't line up with the compression panty. I'm always aware that I have them on, but that also reminds me to take it easy post surgery. The panty feel weird, but it serves a purpose, so I give this product a thumbs up.

Must Have for Healing from Hysterectomy
I started wearing these almost 2 weeks after my laparoscopic hysterectomy, and they are worth every penny. They give me the all-around core support I need, and they make it so much more comfortable to walk around, sit, and lie down to sleep.I started out using a post-op binder, but it was scratchy and very uncomfortable. Wearing that thing lasted a week and was a waste of money. These post-op panties are exactly what I need. I bought a 2nd pair so I’ll have a fresh pair while I’m washing the other. They hold up well in the washing machine if you put them in a mesh bag and wash in cold water (hand-wash or delicates cycle). I hang mine up to air dry. They offer just the right amount of compression, not so tight that it’s hard to breathe, though. They helped my post-op belly swelling go down quickly.I never thought I’d be so happy to wear “not cute” underwear that comes all the way up to the bottom of my sports bra, but I can tell you this: after a hysterectomy, you just want to be comfortable. These panties are giving me all-day and all-night comfort, and I’ll probably keep wearing them until I’m at least 8 weeks post-op. I highly recommend buying more than one pair. They fit true to size, even though they look super tiny when you first take them out of the package. They stretch to fit. For reference, I’m 5’5” 115 pounds, and size S/M fits me perfectly.

Met expectations
This product met my expectations. Sizing was accurate and the product made recovery more comfortable.

If your 5ft 3 or under don't bother.
They would probably be great if I were bigger or they were smaller. S/M just to long in the torso and don't provide much support either. Uncomfortable only because I have to roll them down otherwise they'd come up over my bust. I'm 5ft 2 and 148lbs.

Better Than Post-op Binder
Purchased for lap hysterectomy. 5'4" and 125 lbs, fit comfortably and supplied a balanced support perfect for post-op recovery. Really addressed that odd sensation of both looseness and bloating you get after surgery so that I was able to ambulate relatively comfortably. Walking as soon as possible is key and this certainly helped with that in the following days. Would recommend to all my patients.

Very Comfy! :)
I ordered these in advance once I found out I had to get a laparotamy with a vertical incision. Now I am about 2 weeks post op and realized I should have considered a couple of things. 1. Is how long the cut was going to be. I thought they were going to go above and around the belly button. Turns out they went below the belly button. Thus a more manageable thing to deal with. 2. I should have also considered at least in this case that I was going to loose weight from this and should have ordered a smaller size for a more snug fit. This was my first surgery in my life so I was really scared and wanted to be ready for anything.I ended up mostly relying on the abdominal binder and mesh panties given by the hospital. ( Highly recommended that you ask for these it will help allot) And as of yesterday I healed well enough to want to try these Post Op panties. I have to say these are wonderfully comfy and breathable, also are natural under clothes. And although I don't think I needed them like I thought, these are certainly something to consider if you are having abdominal surgery. :) I am still glad I bought at least 2.

Nice product, but wish it came in an XS
Bought for abdominal support after a bowel resection, post ileostomy takedown. It is comfortable, seems well-made, and holds my bandages in place, but I wish it came in an XS. At 5’4 & 110 lbs, it is mostly snug where it needs to be, but doesn’t quite offer the compression I’d hoped for. It fits similarly to a comparable Maidenform product—the Maidenform is a smoother material, but this one is sturdier.

My #1 Suggestion for Hysterectomy recovery
After my abdominal hysterectomy two weeks ago I felt like my organs were all sloshing around in my gut and walking like a snail only helped a little bit. However... this panty right here is a miracle! It gives me abdominal support without hugging my ribs too tightly. It allows me to stand upright and a bit faster confidently as my incision heals. It is so soft that my incision is not bothered at all. I’m ordering another! Sizing was spot on. I ordered a small/ medium and I am 5’7” 140 lbs. my only suggestion is that it should have a tinkle hole in the crotch. So glad I found this product!
