These are very strong and useful. I use them to hold remote controls. They hold many remotes right through the case, without having to add any metal plates-attracting to the batteries inside. TIVO and odd shaped remotes where the batteries are more recessed do need a metal plate, or other small magnet. I also use them to hold my wireless computer keyboards, one magnet on each end, cell phone, loose metal parts/screws/etc. They can be stacked front to back for more strength. I'm ordering my third set just to have around because I'm sure I will think of many more applications as time goes on. If you use the included screws, drill a pilot hole first. The strong attraction makes it difficult to screw in straight, especially if you are using an angled driver or working in a tight space.

Strong, small, they hold my ice carving tools in my freezer, and chisels in the studio as well.. I would suggest an anti rust coating if near water or moisture, i give mine a spray of w d 4 0 before applying wet tools. they really are damn strong.. i dont know about 90 lbs, but they are a pain in the arse to get apart if you get them face to face..

As strong as advertised, and very useful for appropriate weights. I will not try to hang big hammers with them, but they would hold even roofing hammers unless you bumped them hard. I attached some to the handles of my diggers for metal detecting, and, in one case, the butt end of my pinpointer, to ease in extracting ferrous targets. I also used the hole to zip tie a couple in the bottoms of my sand-sifting scoops for beach metal detecting. The fact that these attract around the ring instead of just on the exposed face makes them work better for my purposes. Just the right strength, for my uses.

These magnets are so strong they can be hard to separate (they come with convenient nylon washer/spacers). I used them to make curtain tie-backs. I sewed the magnet and a large fender washer into a 9-inch tube of cloth, then screwed the magnet to the window frame (through the fabric). The washer sticks to the magnet through two layers of fabric, which makes their super strength just about right. They work perfectly for this.

very nice set of magnets. shipped quickly. packaged well and super strong! use them to hang portable signage/lighting. work great! this is my 8th order of various magnets over a 2 year period. none have yet to fail/break. these even work well for magnet fishing. largest item recovered with this magnet was a 20 inch bmx bike. i use a tapered machine screw with 3 links of chain fastened with a washer and 2 nylon nuts and 100' of paracord.

Dumb a*s award -so I am anal and was try to organize my in-home high use tools. I was grumbling to myself for two days about magnet strength and bad design b/c screw stuck out preventing good contact between magnet and object ie screw driver, etc.. i even bought different screws with a flatter head. after a moment of long delayed inspiration, i reversed the face. the magnet, facing the correct way, held strong. The opposite face also had the recessed face so the screw in place is mostly flush. Go Figure...
