Vtech kiddi Superstar karaoke machine, microphone with built im songs
My three-year-old loves this toy. Her older siblings like it as well. We could use this all day with our little performer. It would be nice if it came in more neutral colors. It has a detachable speaker / microphone box that can be attached to a stand. The toy is microphone is loud enough but yet not annoyingly loud if you know what I mean. It can also be used with MP3 if you want to play your own songs, however it does come with pre-recorded songs which is what we were looking for. There is an attached disco ball light that changes colors, there is Applause clap and laugh buttons like your audience is responding to you. There is pre-loaded games, and a way you can record yourself and Playback your song. There are voice changing features as well. I like that after it is put together there is not a lot of small pieces to get lost. If I could change anything, it would be design-wise, the stand seems slightly lightweight compared to the heavier weight of the microphone / speaker box that is detachable. The detachable speaker box should have a clip to clip it in place on the stand, rather than just set in or drop in to the hole. The last thing is that this stand is adjustable in height however to adjust it you must remove pieces of plastic pipe, and store them away, so that you can raise the height later on if the child is taller. The problem for me is that I probably will lose those plastic pieces. If it were included all together and maybe the plastic pipes dropped into one another to hide away, that would eliminate any storage of plastic parts for me to remember where I put them. Overall this toy is played with every day in our house and for the price I paid for it which was under $40, I am still giving it a 5-star review, because it is a well-made toy, VTech toys are fun and educational, and I feel the value is there especially for the use we get out of it that is why I am not deducting any stars for the minor design flaws. Overall I would recommend this toy for any kids ages 3 up to 10 or even older, and I would also recommend it for gift giving.

They all seem happy with it and it's nice to see them all ...
Bought this for my 5 yr old daughter for Christmas. And I have to say. She is not the only kid in the house the lives it. I have even found my 13 yr old son playing with the different voice options on it. My 14 yr old daughter likes to have a sing off with my 5 yr old when she plugs in her phone to the back. They all seem happy with it and it's nice to see them all playing together with it. Plus the Mic and the karaoke part is showing it is a quality toy. Last Mic stand we bought lasted a month before the Mic stopped working and it had less f use because it had less feature. The Vtech is showing to be a good purchase. Would recommend.

Fun and simple
My 5-year old daughter loves it. We don't even bother plugging in music from a mobile phone or iPad because she just loves singing into it, and does use the record function, applause and puts on a singing show for us after dinner. It's easy to move around, steady on it's feet and has all the "Bells and whistles" to keep any kid happy. I suspect as she gets older she may want to plug in music. When I did put music on from the iPhone, it didn't filter the words out only lowered the volume a bit so not true Karaoke IMHO.

Great gift!
My daughter is obsessed with this. We gifted it to her for Christmas. She loves the voices she can do on it, the microphone works great also! Our first one we bought, the microphone didn’t work. Amazon exchanged the wholeUnit for us and it was seamless with a kohls drop off.

very cute
I like it. If your kid likes singing or listening to music, this is basic and fun and well made entertainment. The voice changer is a nice touch. It might just encourage you kid to sing silly and fun songs which is always adorable.

Very disappointed kids
Soooooo disappointed in this product. We ordered as a gift for our kids. We've always had good luck with Vtech products. This is a definite exception. We opened the box and assembled as instructed. Put the microphone cord into the microphone jack and...nothing☹️. We thought we must have done something wrong, but we re-read the instructions, followed he troubleshooting instructions, and still, the microphone was completely non-functional. So, processed a return and Amazon sent a brand new one. Opened it up, and again, the microphone is completely dead. Again, we thought it must be something we are doing, but it is not exactly rocket science. Turn the volume on both knobs all the way up, plug mic into the clearly marked jack. There is nothing else to do that we could figure out. Tried to retune for another new unit, but Amazon doesn't allow for that. VTech, what is the deal with this product? Are we doing something wrong? Everything else on the unit seems to work.

Read review...
While I do think the concept is good, it does need some help. It is so tip-able, if that makes sense. Not sturdy. You slightly bump it and it’s tipping over. The actual karaoke / radio piece.... not sure what it’s called, well that comes out of the base. It basically just sits in there. (Looks like there’s a clip but I don’t see anywhere that you can actually clip it into the base, it really does just seem to sit in there). So every time the thing is bumped that piece crashes out and to the ground, batteries falling out all over. Sound is very fuzzy. I hope that the company will put a little more into it to fix these few things, as it is a fun toy.
