Great reference for acing the exam though the follow up General & Extra manuals seemed to go off "into the weeds" at times.

This book is organized by logical areas of content for the chapters, with all of the sub-elements of the Technician class Amateur Radio License exam tested in Chapter 10. Within each chapter, there are sections of specific points of content. At the beginning each of these sections are the questions from the exam question pool. Also, the answers to the questions are noted in bold within the text! This makes learning the material and studying for the exam a lot easier! You can test yourself after each short section to see if you understood the material. You can test yourself in Chapter 10 to see how well you might do on the actual exam. Also, the chapters match the chapters on the ARRL's website with the exam questions, so if you score poorly in one chapter, the ARRL website can let you know that, and you can go back to that chapter in this manual and study again. I have found the manual to be well-written, also! The concepts are presented bit by bit. There's a LOT to learn, so this is helpful, being broken down into smaller chunks this way. Highly recommend it. Kudos to the people who wrote and organized this book.

This book is extremely informative. And contains all the necessary information you'll need to pass the test and get your license as a technician! It also has a lot of information about various Ham activities and background. It educates on various levels on becoming a Ham. Worth the price and time to ready.

This has everything you need to know for the exam. I wish it had a bit more detail to help link some concepts together --- particularly in chapters 6 and 8, the actual "ham radio" chapters (as opposed to the physics of radio). (Right? Explanations make it a bit easier to learn, as opposed to just memorizing answers). Nevertheless, a welcome and necessary companion to online practice tests, and the book *does* have "for more information" pages. The paper isn't the highest quality — a step-up from newsprint — but given that the content isn't detailed enough to be a full-time reference guide, that's probably OK.

Very good manual. However, Amazon completely ignored by delivery instructions, which were very simple. We will, see how the next delivery goes. This basic lack of customer care, makes me simply want to go to the store and buy what I need, which I can easily do.
