Riedel Veritas Coupe/Cocktail

I was afraid that an XL martini glass would be the equivalent of those wine glasses that hold half a bottle. Nope. The XL seems to be the same size as what you would get in an upscale bar. As with all Riedel glasses, the quality is impeccable, and the simple design is elegant. Although they are labeled as dishwasher-safe, I wash mine by hand, simply because I don’t want to take a chance. These feel great in the hand. Although the crystal is not as thin as with some martini glasses, it’s not thick, either, ensuring both durability and elegance.

Packaging was amazing and showed the company care for the product. I really like my martini glasses. Very nice style and quality. Would buy again.

As nice as you'd expect from Riedel. Well balanced and a pleasure to hold. Makes a very nice presentation when pursuing excellence in the experience of well-made cocktails.

The glass is so flimsy! It broke just sitting in the soapy dishwater! The photo depicted it as being very sturdy, thicker glass, not thin and flimsy! I am dissatisfied with the product. The seller is fine, unless the seller chose an inferior glass, figuring I would not complain since buying on Amazon and not in the store. The photo on Amazon is misleading. Btw, the second glass in the set had a tiny chip at the lip. I have now thrown away the entire purchase. Curious how the vendor did not know that it was sending me defective items. Thought I would not notice or complain?

My wife and I like martinis and manhattans, so I wanted to get her some elegant crystal martini glasses for her birthday. After reading all the reviews, I selected these “Riedel Vinum XL Martini Glasses.” They were the most classic crystal glasses I could find without unnecessary decoration or goofy stems. The design is just right, with a thin stem and a sturdy bowl. The glasses are noticeably heavy—much heavier than the cheap martini glasses we had been using, but not as light and airy as handmade crystal. These Reidel Vinum series glasses promise to be less breakable, which is good. At this price, I don’t want to replace them anytime soon! I like the size; they hold a double easily enough, without being “novelty size” like too many modern martini glasses. My wife loved them, and we are pleased with them overall. We have definitely put these glasses to the test!

Wonderful clarity and quality. However, the glasses are not very robust and both broke within a week during normal use.
