Behrens Manufacturing 206 Hot Dipped Steel Watering Can, 1.5 gal, 1.5 Gallon, Silver

I wanted a durable vintage style water can. I found a bunch of water cans I liked at antique malls but they where always in such poor condition they weren't no longer good for actual use...only display purposes. A couple old cans I found that were still in useable condition were priced at $100 or more.I finally found these Behrens water cans. Appears to be built with thicker gauge metal than majority I've seen in local hardware lawn & garden stores, very sturdy. Vintage style design & has nice galvanized finish for longevity. Balanced fairly well when full of water & flows well from sprinkler head. fairly priced for good quality product. I have no complaints. Very happy with this product.

I have every little space to have a flower garden let alone a watering can. I purchased the 1 1/2 gallon size and it's great. Sturdy construction, comfortable handles, and takes up very little space. I like the water shower flow which is delicate on the flower petals. I wish it still came with the wooden handle but it's still cute. I do wish it was made in America but I can deal with it made in Mexico and not China. Highly recommend this product.

I know another has complained about this, and I have the same complaint: The can doesn't hang level when carrying with the loop handle. Additionally, the side handle is off center. It's a small matter but irritating, and the larger can doesn't have these defects. At any rate, the can is well manufactured otherwise.

Really a great product. The 2 1/2 gallon capacity allows me to make it around the patio in one watering. The metal is thick and heavy galvanized. The hanging handle is just enough off center to make pouring easy with the side handle. A good design. Well packed anc shipped on time. A good transaction.

Well balanced, sturdy, and it doesn't leak like the last watering can I got from Amazon and sent back. It's all you can ask for from a watering can.

It appears to be well made & I saw no flaws in the galvanizing. The one problem I noticed & it's very annoying, is the top handle is not in the center so when you fill it up & then grab the handle, it tips over & spills water! I ended having to use 2 hands to carry it from the faucet to the garden as some what awkward situation.I agree with another review that the holes are a bit small so it takes a long time to empty it. I wish I could unscrew their nozzle & put one of my own on it.It seemed a bit pricey but time will tell if longevity will make up for it.

Got this for a remote planter in our lot and it is beautiful with well-made seams and galvanizing. Only negative s a plastic grip on the thin wire hanger that I give a year before its broken. I'm finished with plastic jugs that gets friable and crack. This will last longer than me...

Now looking for a new watering can. Thought I was buying a watering can that I would love as it seemed to be a lot like my last watering can, which was perfect. I would actually still be using my old one except that somewhere, in a move, it went missing after serving me for 30+ years. The only two things I like about this product is that it was the right size and almost entirely galvanized. And that's actually where the first problem arises. I did not look carefully enough when purchasing this product to see that it has a plastic handle. I actually hate the handle. It doesn't feel very sturdy and the plastic piece rotates. The actual worst part about this product, however, is that the sprinkling spout is not removable...it catches bugs, leaf matter and anything else that drops into the can. It appears to unscrew but mine does not. It is firmly attached and creates a cleaning issue...and eventually a pouring issue. Rather than the one star that I have grudgingly given it...please think of it as four boo rating. I am gifting this to my daughter...who doesn't really garden.

Am getting lots of use out of this smaller watering can. It's a nice size and even when full, isn't too heavy. While it isn't a particularly attractive looking watering can like others I've had, it really is sturdy and should last me a long time.
