🚀 Measure the Future with Precision!
The PING))) Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is a cutting-edge device designed for accurate distance measurement between objects. Utilizing ultrasonic technology, it triggers a burst and listens for the echo, providing precise data to your microcontroller. With Wi-Fi connectivity, a lightweight design, and a waterproof rating, this sensor is perfect for both professional and DIY applications.

Good accuracy and easy to use
I used this sensor with arduino. Parallax has the code to sense the distance available on their website along with good documentation:[...]This sensor only uses one I/O pin. This is good if you have a lot of sensors. If you don't need this feature, I recommend the following sensor that uses 2 I/O pins and is much cheaper:http://www.amazon.com/SainSmart-HC-SR04-Ranging-Detector-Distance/dp/B004U8TOE6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395765869&sr=8-1&keywords=Ultrasonic+Range+Sensor

Way more reliable than the knock offs
For detecting relative distance over the advertised range, the Parallax unit does a better job filtering out noisy values and providing repeatable results.

Better than the generics
Very happy with this part. Much better performing than the ultrasonic sensor that came with an Arduino Uno kit I bought.

You get NO benefit from 4 pins, it just ...
You get NO benefit from 4 pins, it just wastes one of your Arduino pins. AND the NewPing library works perfectly with these just set the signal and trigger to the same pin #.

The only ping sensor to buy.
This sensor works well and has the range that cheaper ones do not. I had consistant reading of the correct distance.

Meh
These work, but the price, I mean seriously. There are "just as good" options out there for a small fraction of the cost. Also, these burn out, I've had at least half of them fail.I buy a lot of ping sensors.

Really nice quality
Works well does everything it is supposed to do

Great device - wrong price
Ultrasonic distance sensors, and the PING are great devices but you can get them for around $5 now. I would suggest looking around a bit more. I purchased several others for Arduino projects and they all work very well.
