The product arrived with its box damaged. Several dents and metal of box rusted. This is inadmissible.

Good taste and flavor

I usually drink regular gold blend decaff, but saw this new one and as it was discounted thought that I would give it a go. Glad that I did because it's nearly as good as ground coffee, and a lot less hassle to make.

The aroma is very nice.

I bought it in September 2024 for about six fifty bucks. First impression - the box/tin is cheap and crappy, absolutely third class. Once its seal is opened, it definitely isn't airtight. This will lead to the coffee getting spoiled unless kept in a fridge. And even kept in a fridge, its aroma (the little it has) would not last long. Smell - not much of one. I have noted the same lack of aroma in nescafe gold blende, nescafe gold and nescafe gold espresso. The nescafe classic does have a strong smell but doesn't deserve to be called an aroma. Taste - Comparatively lighter. It is supposed to be a blend of robusta and arabica (the exact ratio is not mentioned). To compare, with country bean original (supposed to be 100% arabica and without added flavour), I use 1g of coffee powder every 50-60g of water (I drink it black); whereas with nescafe roastery light roast decaf, I have to use 1g of coffee powder every 40g of water. One explanation could be that it is supposed to be made of light-roasted beans (which are less bitter). The second could be that some of the taste is lost during the decaffination process - I cannot be sure as this is the first decaf I'm using. Both are acceptable if you want to enjoy a decaf coffee in our country since the options are quite limited. Decaffination - I will update when I have used this coffee for a cuple of weeks. To conclude, Only worth buying at this price if you are really looking for a decaf. Taste is ok but nothing worth writing - non-decaf coffees of much better quality are available cheaper. (The cost of necafe roastery decaf and non-decaf are quite same). The tin is abysmal - the nescafe should be ashamed over its quality.
