Nylon Bristle Brush

This is a great brush and didn't cost too much, either! It smooths my hair very well(and I don't use any "products", I simply wash my hair.) I like how it came packaged in a sealed plastic bag, then I know it didn't come into contact with any weird stuff. And even better, NO chemical smell coming right out of the package! And I'm one of those chemically sensitive folks, so I'm quite the sniff-tester on things. I did notice, that the first day I used it that the white ink "scalp master" that was printed on the handle started to come off, so I just took a wet paper towel and rubbed off and wiped away the rest. But that has zero effect on the brush. It probably came off so easily because of the hard smooth surface of the brush handle itself. I don't mind one bit that the ink came off, but I'm used to that happened with stuff by now. Bottom line: I would absolutely recommend this brush! I may even have to buy an extra just to have, maybe one to keep in my bag when I go out, especially since it's almost hat wearing season...

They don't make 'em like they used to. I thought this was nearly as good as my old Goody brush, but sadly, the bristles lost their shape after only a few weeks. I still have great quality brushes similar to this, that I bought so many years ago, I couldn't even tell you when. I have one that's definitely over 20 years old and the bristles still have their shape. These bristles are too soft, and they don't hold up. Sadly, I am still in search of good quality brushes with bristles that don't flatten after a short time.

My hair is thick and curly, but fine in texture.I have been trying to find a perfect brush for a couple years. This one fits the bill. This brush reminds me of one my grandma had decades ago that would actually feel refreshing to use. Its not too expensive, smaller/lightweight, does not contain boar hair, reaches all the way through my hair to the scalp and feels great on the scalp. It feels like it actually lifts the hair off the scalp and helps distribute natural oils, I de-tangle first with a comb or my fingers. This is a great basic daily brush.

This brush is okay but not as good as the Goody brush I bought on Amazon a couple years ago and not available anymore. The quality just isn't quite there and it doesn't feel as good.

Other reviews have pointed out that the bristles are very stiff and some complained that it hurt their scalp. But I was tired of buying soft-bristle brushes I could not get through my hair. This is perfect for me, a male with reasonably short hair. I agree that if you run it over you scalp it will be uncomfortable, just be careful. I am hoping that the bristles will soften up just a tad. It is also small enough (and sturdy) to take in my gym bag.

I love this brush! I have thin wavy hair and the brush almost reaches my scalp. Using it made my hair soft. I used to use a brush from Avon about 30 yrs ago. I would brush my hair every night with it. And my hair was soft and Shiney with no frizz! I realized that I need that brush. There's a brush that looks close to it, but it's 30 dollars. I wanted to try the nylon brush out before investing that much money for a brush! This brush worked with similar results ❤️

If you have lots of hair that is wavy and you struggle to find a brush that will actually brush your hair all the way to your scalp this is NOT the brush for you. I don't necessarily have thick hair, but I do have a lot of hair and it tends to be a bit frizzy/wavy. That makes it really tough to find a brush with bristles that will make it all the way through to my scalp. This brush DOES NOT. Not only is it much narrower than a "typical" bristle brush, but the bristles are not firm enough for my hair. What I LOVE is another Scalpmaster brush - the S-300-IV. I bought it and this one both because from the reviews it was hard to tell which one would work best for me. Hands down the S-300-IV beats out this one.

I have always used nylon bristle brushes (I don't like the plastic or metal bristles). When my old brush showed much wear I went on the hunt for a new one. I tried several but found that this brush is the best. At first the bristles seem very hard and the ends feel sharp on the scalp. After a few weeks the bristles calm down and I can see this is going to be as good as my old favorite brush.

Just the kind of brush I have been looking for

I bought this in January 2019 and I'm writing this in May 2020. This brush is still practically new, no scratches, no chipping, no bristles falling out, etc. I use this almost every day. I do not use this as a teasing brush, however, I use it to help smoothen my top hair when I put it in a ponytail so that it's not lumpy (you guys know what I mean). Unfortunately, it's no longer available in my area, but I wouldn't need to buy another one anyway since it is still in tip top condition :)!

Great brush, however, note this is not a pack of 6 brushes, it is only one brush. Or they messed up my order and only sent 1.

I like my first order so I ordered another. But the one that they sent me is different in many ways. Looks cheap as well.

Bought it originally for my head but realized it after receiving that it was nylon bristles which didn't work for me. However it works great as a beard brush and I've been using it for that.
