Why does every baby book insist on gendering the reader's baby? I have a son, not a "her". "Their", "they", and " them" exist as words too.

Light weight, easy reading, organized thoughts, great read!

I am so happy with this book. I was becoming so mind numb with the same routine with my 6 month old. Wake up, eat, belly time, story time, eat , nap, eat, belly time.......... I am sure you get where I am going with this. Since purchasing this book, I am able to create a by weekly plan that brings in new games and activities. I'm having more fun than I expected. Some of the activities call for pre prepping while baby is down for a nap. I think that's my favorite part. I use to do crafts before having my DD and now I am able to reincorporate it back into by life while benefiting my daughters upcoming play time. You can find some of the same ideas on pinterest but this book is nicely organized and can be marked for quick references and each idea has options on how to alter the game or activity to fit your babies age.

I was so excited for this book, as a SAHM of twins I have been wanting a book to help guide and create learning activities for my babies but I was a bit disappointed. This book, while it does have a ton of activities and breakdowns, I didn’t find a whole lot catered to 12 months, or at least any that we found interesting. There were a few Thai I’m going to implement in our daily routine but a lot of the activities seemed to be aimed for older children even though the book is birth to age 3? I expected more. Also it would be helpful if the book was broken down by age group, although it is divided by domain which is helpful, but I had to scan every page to see if it was age appropriate for us. I’m sure this will work for some, just as I’m sure there’s another book out there that better suits us and our interests!

Fantastic book with tons of ideas. I used this as a resource when I was a toddler teacher at a childcare center. I am now a stay at home mom and use it just as much for activities for my own children. Most activities can be used for group or individual play. They show you what ages each activity is appropriate for and gives adaptations for children who are at different levels.
