I was hoping to get a lighter, more compact version of the 921V, but am truly disappointed with the Performance version. The split gap is so narrow that it makes nearly no difference in long term comfort. Just 3 miles or more in the saddle will bring on a unwanted numbness that will make you question why this seat even exists. Even my old stock Bonty saddle was much more comfy. Going back to my RX 921V was such an upgrade that I ordered another for my trailbike. BTW, the split gap on the 921V is almost 3X wider than the Perf unit. Perfect if you're getting pressure in your perineal area followed by that terrible numbness. The fashion-only gap on this RX Performance is just that - for looks only.

I bought this saddle many (actually many, many, many) years ago and have been mountain biking with it all these years. Fast forward to my new ebike, which got my favorite saddle (of course!). Then rode my manual bike with a friend and his manual bike - with a saddle from my old, old road bike. Ugh. Spent 3 days in lower back and sciatica pain - ouch! Went online and actually found my favorite saddle and immediately ordered (even though it was pricey compared to others). Now I have on both bikes - riding happily ever after! This product has obviously withstood the test of time and is a proven performer! Worth. Every. Penny.

This is my second Serfas seat, and I like this one too. It does weigh a little more than the "tongue depresser" racing saddle that came on my bike, but I'm not in pain at the end of my ride, so that's a trade I'll make every time. The saddle is higher from the rails to the top of the saddle due to the added padding, so you might have to adjust the seatpost height to compensate. I also like the added width (158mm v. 143mm for the stock saddle) as well as the difference in profile. This saddle is much flatter across the top, where the stock one had a noticeable curve to it. This goes a long way toward providing comfort and support. This saddle is designed to flex so that each side moves (a little) with the movement of your leg. It's different, but only took about 30 seconds to get used to. In the end, it helps. Saddles with more padding are a little more sensitive to tilt, but I did not have undue issues getting mine to fit. The center groove could be a little wider, but I didn't find that to be an issue either. Two thumbs up.Rider profile: 6" tall, 160lbs. Most of my rides are in the 50 to 125 mile range, so I needed something to go all day in a variety of terrain and road conditions. This works for me.

I replaced a 2006 or so Serfas Rx saddle with approximately 27,500 miles of riding. I loved the old one and expect the same from the new one. Very comfortable and supportive as well as long lasting. Interestingly, I emailed the company asking a question about the replacement model, and somebody responded right away from their Iphone!

For the last 25 years I have subscribed to the prevailing theory that the bicycle seat must be hard and uncomfortable to be "comfortable."After doing a 400 mile bike ride across England, I decided that I wanted to take a risk and try a "comfort" saddle to see if all of the horrors of soft saddles that I had been preaching were true.It turns out that I have been wrong, wrong, wrong!The serfas saddle has quite a bit of give. It is not squishy, But still quite soft. I bought it because I like the independent rails that give with pressure and shock.The whole saddle acts like a big shock absorber. The best part is that I do not get uncomfortable on long rides like I thought I would. Over all, it is a great saddle. Great price. Job well done!

I replaced the factory saddle on my Giant Defy with the Serfas RX the day before starting a double-century two day ride. I regret nothing. The saddle was far more comfortable than my previous Giant saddle. There are more expensive options available, and the Serfas looks a little bulky compared to a Fizik, etc. but I found it to be a good balance between comfort and size. If you do any distance riding, you won't regret using this saddle. Sure, you can shave a few ounces off with something more expensive, but it won't be as comfortable. And frankly the endurance comfort benefits outweigh any negatives for me. Glad I upgraded.

I got to use this for just a few miles before I switched it to my son's bike. He used it for our 5 1/2 day, 330 mile trip from DC to Pittsburgh on the C&O Canal Towpath and Great Allegheny Passage Rail Trail. I thought about taking it back from him but that would have been child abuse. He loved it. Never a sore spot. No numbness. Held up very well through the entire trip. He's 6', 175lbs, athletic. He's ridden for about fifteen minutes to prepare for the multi-day trip. It wasn't just the exuberance of youth that kept him comfortable. I'm sure this saddle had a lot to do with it. I loved it as well and I'm 6', 215lbs and not quite so athletic.... I've also learned I have a 145mm sit pattern according to a Specialized seat fitting specialist and his gauge.

Better than the stock seat on TREK 3 Series mountain bike which was good.My bottom can't tell the difference between the Performance RX model and the regular RX I have on my TREK 8.3 DS hybrid.I can't hike anymore due to slipped disc. But I can ride. Just adding more shock absorbing.

Nice seat, well made, and reasonably comfortable, but not significantly more so than the current bike seat on my road bike. Tried it for about 2 weeks and then decided not to spend the money. Returned as per the comfort guarantee offered by the vendor.

日本縦断の超長距離ライド用にMH-RXを調達しました。1日160kmを3日連続で走っても痛みの来ないサドルを探してあれこれ試していました。このサドルが自分(身長190cm体重90kg)に最適でした。当然、ポン付けではダメでサドルの位置・角度の細かな調整で最適ポイントを見つけるのは必須です。【追記】日本縦断・宗谷岬(北海道)→佐多岬(鹿児島)2500kmを2020年10月8日から10月29日までの22日間で走破しました。1日9時間☓22日間連続使用したわけですが尻痛は全く発生しませんでした。サドル外皮やクッションのヘタレもほとんどありません。良いサドルにめぐり逢いました。

純正のサドルが硬くて痛いので、柔らかいサドルを探していました。あくまでもクロスバイクらしさを損なわず、柔らかいサドルを探すのに苦労しました。【メリット】・とても柔らかく、お尻が痛く無くなります。・左右がペダリングによって稼働するので、更にお尻や股の痛みが軽減されます。・見た目が思ったよりスポーティーなので、クロスバイクらしさを損なわないと思います。・サドルの厚みは純正とあまり変わらず、見た目もポジションもいい感じに決まります。【デメリット】・サーファスの最高峰というだけあり値段が高いです。基本は通勤でしか乗らない私の感覚では。・純正と比べると重いです。サドル単体では「まぁ重いな」って感じでしたが、取り付けた後自転車を持つとビックリするくらいズシっと来ます。・素材がカバーっぽいです。ただチノパンとの相性が良い為座りやすい面もあります。【総評】文句無しの星5です。通勤オンリーな為あまりお金を掛けられず、一発勝負だった為1週間も色々検索し、お店にもたくさん行きました。抜群に良い商品です。1.お尻の痛み軽減2.クロスバイク感を損なわないデザイン3.シートポジションがあまり変わらない4.高級過ぎない（盗まれにくい）5.そこら辺に売ってない上記5点を全てクリアしました。もうサドルを探す必要は無くなりました。大満足です。
