SUCH A CUTE AND USEFUL APPLIANCE!!!
I fell in love with this rice cooker the moment I saw it on Amazon. The dark blue color with the gold trim is absolutely beautiful and makes it look so much more high-end than your typical kitchen appliance. It’s honestly one of the cutest things on my counter and doesn’t feel bulky or out of place at all. This is actually my first rice cooker, and I wanted something simple for making rice, quinoa, and similar meals more regularly with my busy schedule. This has been perfect for that. It comes with everything you need—a rice paddle, measuring cup, and instructions—and it’s very easy to use. What I really like is how simple the operation is. You just plug it in, add your rice and water, close the lid, and push the lever to start cooking. The mechanism is smart too—it won’t activate unless there’s weight inside from the rice and water, which is a nice safety feature. It runs automatically and cooks for about 30 minutes, so there’s no need to mess with timers or settings. When you first get it, it does recommend running a cycle with water to remove any manufacturing smell, which I did. That step worked perfectly and made sure my first batch didn’t taste like anything but fresh rice. Another huge plus is the size. It’s compact, lightweight, and super easy to find space for on the counter, which is great if you don’t have a lot of room. Overall, I absolutely love this rice cooker. It’s simple, reliable, aesthetically pleasing, and perfect for everyday use. Definitely worth the money and a great addition to a busy lifestyle!

MUST HAVE RICE COOKER
I have been trying to cook rice for so long! I have been told that an Instant Pot is basically a rice cooker. Recently, I spoke with a well-known chef, and he advised that I should purchase a rice cooker on Amazon. I decided to try it, and after reading reviews on several different rice cookers, I bought the Bear Mini Rice Cooker. My only regret was not purchasing it sooner. The first thing I love about it is the size. It does not take up a lot of counter space, and it is perfect for cooking the perfect amount of rice for my family of four. That's right, I used one cup of rice (the cup is provided) and one cup of chicken broth, and it was enough for four adults. However, do not forget that it will cook up to two cups of rice! It was also so easy to wash. The non-stick bowl is easy to remove and easy to clean. It is also very easy to store. I can store it in a cabinet, and it even fits in one of my drawers. The second thing I love is how simple. There are no five buttons, no timers, just simply one button and two choices: warm and cook. Add your rice in the convenient cup provided, fill your bowl with water or broth up to the designated line, push the button, and you have rice in no time! Not only do you have rice, but you have perfectly tasty rice! I loved it so much that I purchased another one for my daughter. The price is amazing and much less than I paid for my Instant Pot, which is large and I never use.

Attractive 2 cup (max) rice cooker
The only reason I did not give this adorable rice cooker five stars is that the steam escapes through the black button on the top of the cooker, towards the rear. I guess it has to go somewhere. But it does make a bit of a mess to clean up after dribbling down the back of the cooker, etc. Other than that, I have no complaints. I like the unique shape, size, and color. It did a good job of cooking the standard white rice. Haven't had the chance to try it on basmati or jasmine rice yet. I like that the lid locks down and it starts with one button. And did I say how cute it is ....

Great little rice maker
This makes perfect rice! I’ve only tried Jasmine and Batsmati so far. One cup is quick maybe 40 min and 2 cups about 45min. We love it. I add half a tsp of salt and half a tbsp of butter. Works great with or without. I read that freezing the rice and warming when you need it helps reduce the glycemic effect.

100% recommend
Bear rice cooker is great. It is compact but with enough capacity, silent, no mess, easy to use and the rice gets perfectly cooked. The pot is truly non-stick. Solid choice

Victory is Mine!
Finally, I have made perfect rice! I was hesitant to buy a dedicated appliance, but some things just require it (e.g., popcorn maker). This unit did exactly what it’s supposed to. No gumminess, cooked throughout, slight stick, perfect bite. I cannot believe how easy it all was. Including rice washing, maybe 30 mins. total. By design, steam smokes out the vent and, I being overly cautious, setup a small fan nearby just to ensure I didn’t set off smoke alarm. Plus, it’s just adorable!

Rice cooker rice!
Overall this is a decent mini rice cooker that does the job. If you've never had a rice cooker, you will probably like it a lot. I like it well enough to keep it but if they made a mini rice cooker with premium qualities, I'd buy one of those. Because my other rice cooker is a big, fancy one and it's awesome. Except that it has a minimum that is too much rice for just me and right now my kids have gone off to college and my husband is on travel. So... I need a one person rice cooker because I really enjoy the entire process and experience (rather than microwave leftover rice or frozen rice). Because this doesn't have advanced features such as "fuzzy logic," you have to figure out how to get your rice just the way you like it. My preference is sushi style rice, which is short grain white rice. The first time I made it there was some spittle coming out the top even though I absolutely washed/rinsed it 6 times until the water was clear and I was only preparing a half cup (dry) of rice. So the next time, I used a little less water. I rinsed it. I also let the rice pre-soak for about 10 minutes. When it was done, I let it sit in there on warm mode for a few extra minutes. And then it came out very well, delicious. A few small things detract from this being awesome. It's good but let's not go crazy and call this cheap machine 5 stars. The cord is white instead of matching the blue design. The entire thing is on the cheap side for quality and the front design is just a sticker. The lid mechanism works but sometimes it is wonky and I have to push it a few times to get it to work right. It does not beep or notify you when the rice is done. As soon as you plug it in, it begins on warming mode and the machine is getting hot... so don't leave it plugged in when you are not ready to cook. What I do like is the size. It is really small and that is great for making one or two servings of rice. I prefer this machine over stove top cooking in a pan. As for the ceramic coating, I plan to be super careful never to scratch it.
