First off, this is overall an excellent bit of kit. The machine and the enclosure are of a very high quality and everything fits together superbly well.I’m a bit dubious about some of the claims around the machine’s capabilities though, especially around the multi-colour engraving but I’ll be mostly using it for cutting fairly thin wood and I’ve already confirmed it’s perfectly capable of doing so and, because of the included air assist, produces crisp, high quality cuts.The only mods I’ll be making will be to add drag chains to control the cable movement and also to extend the vent hose as it’s a little short for my needs at about 1.5-2metres.I did do a sample cut of 3mm ply and the cut was superb but it does create a lot of smoke (as any laser engraver/cutter will) so I’d definitely recommend putting the machine in an enclosure or only using it in a very open, well ventilated space.Lastly, I need to mention the customer service is also excellent. In my case, the machine was shipped from China and arrived within 10 days with no issues. The enclosure was shipped from Germany and arrived a few days later as it got held up at UK customs and I had to pay customs charges of approx £65 before the enclosure could be delivered but I raised it with Atomstack customer service and they very promptly refunded me the full amount of the charges after I sent them a copy of the invoice.
