Reliable Pantry Staple—Savory, Versatile, and Always Handy
Libby’s Corned Beef is one of those classic pantry staples I always keep on hand. The 12-ounce can is just the right size for quick meals, and the flavor is consistently savory and satisfying. It’s great straight out of the can for sandwiches, but I’ve also browned it in a skillet for hash, mixed it into keto-friendly casseroles, and even used it as a protein boost in breakfast scrambles. The texture is firm but easy to slice or crumble, and it holds up well during cooking without turning mushy. I appreciate that it’s shelf-stable and easy to store—perfect for emergency meals or when I need something hearty in a pinch. If you’re looking for a dependable canned meat that’s flavorful, versatile, and budget-friendly, Libby’s delivers. It’s exactly what it promises to be.

Corn beef
My favourite. Tasted fresh and nice and good price as well. Nothing beat eating this with some sweet corn and rice. I need to purchase 3 more soon.

is it an acquired taste?
the hubby grew up in a British household, and this stuff was a staple that may have been popularized in WWII.while I'm not as enamored of it, he can carve off a slab and eat it with pickled onions and crackers and seems to really enjoy it.when I though I'd rate it lower than 5 stars due to it reminding me of canned product the dogs got, the hubby pointed out that while it may be a bit polarizing due to fat content, appearance, texture, taste and method of removal from the tin, for the folks that like it the libby's brand is good stuff.

A Welcome Staple
You can't beat corned beef in a can, which is a completely different thing to the slice variety at the deli. A welcome staple in my pantry and the makes the best fritters and hash. Savory, Fatty, Salty. Good.

Good for a quick meal
It tastes good but only when it is heated. I know it is not healthy so it is when I am in a tight.

Still the same product after 73 years
I hadn't had this in a long time but it did not disappoint still the same taste and texture and everything I know a lot of people don't like it cuz it seems fatty but when I was four years old my dad used to make sandwiches out of this and he would give me bites and I loved it still do
