Flux Core Welding Wire, ARCCAPTAIN E71T-GS .030" 2-Pound Spool Gasless Carbon Steel Mig Welding Wire

Previously a coded welder and was never a fan of cored wired unless used with a shielding gas as well. So on using this when welding outside in not great weather conditions I was surprised at the weld deposits appearance although hard to totally remove the slag coating off the weld unless you have a mechanical wire brush. Bare wire MIG welds are better looking but using this cored wire was surprisingly good

I'm by no means a welder, but I found this wire produced a better weld,and with easier to remove spatter than SIP brand that I purchased from screwfix.Some of the slag was awkward to remove, this probably due to my lack of welding technique rather than the wire.Used a scraper and abrasive disc to clean weld up as is easier than wire brushing.Have just ordered reboot brand 1mm flux core so will leave a comparative review on this.I would imagine that dearer wire should produce better results, but a professional welder i ain't!!!!!!
