It keeps my most used knives and scissors handy. I can put my knives in wet and the water just drains out.

Unacceptable Durability
We bought this 4 months ago and were initially pleased about its size and usefulness. But recently the bottom (poor quality plastics) broke by itself with a big hole. We did not drop it and could not recall any drastic action to cause this damage. There is an inside piece that also broke. The thing is now worthless after only 4 months. Unacceptable and not recommended.
