LANEIGE Radian-C Brightening Treatment Essence: Brighten and Visibly Smooth

I use this product everyday. I’ve bought multiple times and will continue to do so. It makes my skin glow!

This LANEIGE Radian-C Brightening Treatment Essence has a lightweight, watery texture and comes in a tall frosted translucent orange-colored bottle. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any residue.The key active ingredient in this Laneige Radian-C Brightening Treatment Essence is 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, which is a more stable derivative of pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) that offers the same anti-aging benefits. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, and has brightening effects because it stimulates collagen production.For those new to using essence, it's a skincare product that is relatively watery and is a leave-on treatment designed to moisturize and improve skin texture. Essences are usually thicker than toners and are thinner and less concentrated than serums. If you have a multi-step skincare routine, applying essence comes after you've used cleanser and toner, but before applying serum/face masks or lotions/creams.On the potential drawback side, one of the first few ingredients is denatured alcohol, which helps other ingredients absorb more readily, but drying alcohols can worsen dry skin. It also contains fragrance, which can potentially irritate sensitive skin. However, if you don't mind fragrance or prefer it, the scent is mild, pleasant and citrus-y.It's made in Korea. Laneige is a sub-brand of Amorepacific, a South Korean beauty and cosmetics conglomerate. Their other brands/line include Sulwhasoo, Etude, and innisfree.There is no expiration date listed on the bottle or box that I could find, but the PAO is 12 months. The pump dispenser works well. The ingredients are listed in English on the outer box, but not on the inner bottle.The ingredients are:Water/Aqua/Eau, Alcohol Denat., Malpighia Emarginata (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Propanediol, Butylene Glycol, Euterpe Oleracea Fruit Extract, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Bis-Peg-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Caffeine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Disodium Edta, Fragrance/Parfum, Sodium Magnesium Silicate, Limonene, Glutathione, Tocopherol.

When I read Radian-C Brightening Treatment I thought it was a serum, like so many product these days. This is a liquid. It's used like an astringent after cleansing. I have to admit - it's a step I haven't used in my routine for a long time. I am so glad I had an opportunity to try this.This product has a pleasant smell, it's nicely packaged in a glass bottle with a pump.I applied it morning and night on a cotton pad and it lasted from November 29th to January 10th, so about a month and a half.I used it in conjunction with my regular face wash, serum and moisturizer that I have been using for the past year. When I used it at night, I could see that it was removing dry skin and dirt that my face wash left behind. I have seen an improvement in the texture and tone of my skin. I do have melasma on the apples of my cheeks and upper lip that no over the counter product is going to fix, but I do look fresher and brighter.The before and after pictures were taken at the same time of day, in the same location using the same lighting.

Honestly love this toner and have nothing to gripe about. Comes in a lovely bottle that is easy to pour onto a pad or into hands, and has a really nice citrus scent to it that isn’t overwhelming and dicipates as it absorbs/dries. I’ve kind of associated it with my morning shower/face wash routine because it sort of wakes me up. For the price, I feel I am getting the bang for my buck, but it may lean towards being on the steeper side of pricing for some. If unsure, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Great facial toning essence. The side of the hefty glass bottle even has the daily dosage lines so you know how much you’re supposed to use on a daily basis (morning and night) in a one-month regimen. If you use this entire bottle within 1 month, this becomes a pricey habit, and I think you can get away with using this once a day and stretch your bottle. The actual liquid is clear and only the glass is orange. It has a slight citrus scent, and the essence is actually very refreshing. You’re instructed to use a cotton pad to apply this, but it also says you can put some on your hands and splash it onto your face, so the entire approach to using this is very simple and uncomplicated. I’m looking forward to using this to see if it really brightens my skin over time. Very gentle and softening so far.

LANEIGE is one of my favorite Korean skincare brands. They offer quality skincare products at a reasonable price point. This essence comes in a thick and heavy orange glass bottle with a pump. The side of the bottle has a measurement scale to let you know how far into the treatment you’ve gone.The essence is a clear liquid that can be used on most skin types. It has a light citrus scent that provides a refreshing feeling when applied. You can apply the essence with a cotton pad or by hand. The treatment recommends using the essence in the morning and evening after cleansing. Personally I’ve only been using it during my morning routine and have noticed a big difference in my skin.

It’s the little details for me. Love the marks on the bottle to let you know how much is left! I do not use every day (I like to switch my skincare up), so it will definitely last longer than 1 month for me. Feels very refreshing, not sticky at all. A little goes a long way for me. My face does seem “brighter” after using, but not sure about long term use/results since I do not use daily and haven’t been using every day. I will update if I see any positive or negative changes in the future!
