Purchased for the dinning room of an assisted living facility. The residents love hearing music from their era!

There are so many famous pieces from yesteryear on this album, you are sure to recognize a few.Some reviewers mentioned the sound quality was not good. Some cuts are like from the original mono recording so that is to be expected. I think it adds to the charm and probably sounds a lot like it did coming over the radio to our parents and grandparents.

Gift

We loved the music. It brought back so many memories of the days when we could dance and sing to the music. The choices were very good. I would have liked even more songs with words but I am happy with the music, too. I get a lot of things from Amazon and am always satisfied. I don't have to worry about payment. It is taken care of automatically.

I got this for my mother--and she loves it. It is very good quality--she was really impressed and she loves all the songs--she found a lot of her old favorites. I got her one of the little red retro radios sold here which also was had surprisingly good quality. She keeps it in her kitchen and sings out loud and strong. It was a very good present.

Totally impressed. If you like 30's and 40's hits this is a set you will enjoy. Top quality sound, great price.

Musica elegante

ロックの隆盛以前のポピュラー音楽に興味があり購入。有名曲が多く手持ちの音源とダブってるものも多かったが、これだけまとめて当時の曲を聴けるのはありがたい。ライナーノーツ等はついてないが、Wikipediaなどで当時のヒットチャートなどのデータを見ながら聴くと面白い。ビッグバンドの流行(ドーシー楽団の人気ぶり！)、ラテン音楽ブームなど、様々な切り口から楽しめる4枚組。

This is the epitome of easy listening, as it evokes a time when everything was so less complicated. Some would say it tends towards the cheesy, but...bring it on.The songs remind me so much of when I was small and the radio was always on, and everyone sang along. so different from sitting glued to the TV today. This is a brilliant collection at a remarkable price.Some of the titles I was unfamiliar with, but all in all, a most welcome and enjoyable addition to my collection.

A wonderful collection of the classics! A mix of big band, crooners and groups like the Ink Spots and The Andrews Sisters. I thoroughly enjoy listening to these cd's over and over.
