Outstanding. Just what i was looking for
First off I just love this dock. I'm a hardcore techy, it's practically an obsession. When I saw the Toshiba Thrive launch and was instantly available at my College's book store. I bought it instantly. It was my third tablet and currently part of my 6 tablet collection. Like i said, I have an obsession for technology. Anyways, the main draw to the table was the HDMI and USB ports on the tablet. While I used the features I constantly want to make my Thrive a permanent feature of my gaming desk. Which is for my PC and Console game, streaming game play and making YouTube videos. When after searching for the best dock with most features I came across this dock. I was like this is one heck of a deal, I can have an HDMI hooked up to it non stop to my main PC monitor which I have 6 way HDMI splitter, and have a aux cable hooked up the main surround sound of my gaming room. It was an instant buy. After owning and using this dock for about a month now. I have to admit it's the best investment I've made for this tablet. I now have it as permanent part of my desk working as a second screen for my 360 (Xbox Smart glass), the source for listening to podcasts when I'm playing slower paced games such as Civ V, or EUIV, it's my screen for my Mac book pro which I keep in my bedroom next to my bedroom using the splashtop app, and it works for my texting at my gaming desk when i have my phone on the charger in my bedroom using the MightText app.As I usually do when i buy something, I just buy it and then read the reviews. I rarely do my research. However, out of 100+ items I've bought off of amazon in the exact same pattern, I have only had 1 bad product. So, when I find in the reviews that people where saying that the dock is to snug, the tablet is hard to remove or place into the doc, the audio quality is horrible I was kinda concerned. Fortunately, my dock does not have any of those issues. Some people just have either received a bad item off the assembly line or they just have a grudge against the brand. In the end, I highly recommend this dock to anyone who not only loves their Toshiba Thrive as much as I do, but for those who utilize so many features like i've mentioned in my review.

Works well, easy to use
Easy to use and keeps the plug from wearing. The tablet can be easily put in and taken out without bending the plug in port ( a known issue with this power cord) the dock is a nice stand for charging and for using the tablet. The foot print is small so it fits most places pretty easily. As others have stated the one issue it that once in, the tablet is well stuck there and though not much pressure is required, it does take two hands to lift it out again since the base is pretty light and will just come up with it. That part does, however, make it easy to move around while in the base and you don't worry about it coming out.

High on features, lacks daily use refinement.
Price aside. Though due to lack of 3rd party options, I feel this product is too expensive for a basic port replicator.Regardless of price, I would love to give it 5 stars because it does give the the most amount of external access to your docked Thrive.Pro & Con: Dock uses Powered USB hub for the 2 USB ports. The Pro is you get 2 USB ports. The Con, is that it REQUIRES power to work. So you HAVE to use your Thrive Power Support or buy a 2nd power supply to use the Dock's USB ports.Pros:Lots of ports:- Two full size USB ports (Keyboard and mouse for me right now, could also do 2 USB game controllers for 2 player gaming, etc)- Audio jack for external speakers (basic Thrive dock has this too)- Full size HDMI port for sound and video (Fills the screen on 16:9 TVs by cropping some of the tablet screen, tablet screen stays on the whole time)- Power jack is the same as on the tablet so you can (and must) share the tablet power supplyLooks clean and feels solidNon slip baseCons:- Firm connection to the Thrive tablet and so you can not simply lift the tablet off the dock. You have to hold the dock down and lift the tablet off. This wouldn't be much of a negative point if the dock had a simple tab to easily hold down while lifting the Thrive. Instead you have to either have fairly wide hands like me and hold both sides of the dock with thumb and finger, or you have to press the thin lip of the dock that hugs the Thrive glass and press down firmly while lifting the Thrive.- No Power Supply. A 30 watt power supply should not cost $40 alone. And for the cost of this dock, it should come with it's own power supply. I should not have to share it with the dock.- Alignment lines are not on the front of the dock and not really visible on the Thrive, which means alignment can be slower than expected, even over time. This could have been improved.Pros are worth the cons and you really don't have a choice right now since there are no other docks for the Thrive yet. I really wanted the dock for a quick kitchen "computer" with keyboard and mouse while keeping it compact and for photoframe use.I will leave my Thrive tablet comments for that review later.
