This is not a Rolex. It is a rugged and attractive utility watch meant for daily use. I still dive and have put this watch to the test. This is the third Seko dive watch I have owned. My previous two were self-winding automatics. This watch has the classic divers look of my very first Seko I received when I graduated from BUDS back in the 60's. I still have it but no longer keeps accurate time even after being "overhauled" at the factory. The solar charging is a game changer. I no longer have to wonder if my watch is accurate. It only requires a short period of solar exposure to ensure the internal battery is charged at least every six months. Since I'm outdoors most of the time, this is ceases to be a concern. This watch weighs very little compared to the traditional self-winding divers. It won't feel like an anchor on your wrist. I hardly notice its there. The crystal sits just below the bezel which helps deflect potential scratches that come from heavy everyday use. Great quality at a fantastic price equals an unparalleled value.

I have a had a great experience with the Seiko Solar Prospex dive watch since receiving it about a month ago. I was looking for a quality dive watch that is equal parts reliable tool and handsome time piece. I spent a long time looking for exactly what I wanted and I believe this watch meets the criteria. After receiving the watch, I switched it over to a rubber 20mm strap and took it on a spear fishing trip, where it spent 5 hours a day for a week in salt water as deep a 60 feet. Solid luminescence in low light. The screw down crown was water tight and it keeps accurate time without any attention which I can't always say for my considerably more expensive automatic dive watch. It also looks great on the bracelet for more formal occasions. I'm really pleased with this time piece.

Outstanding quality on this SEIKO "Pepsi." Sapphire beveled crystal, debossed numerals on the bezel, excellent bracelet, highly legible dial, and a care-free, grab-n-go Solar movement. This has become one of my daily go-to timepieces.

I’ve tried a lot of divers in the $200-$400 range, and out of everything this one has been by far my favorite and the most well made. It checks all the boxes for me personally: thin case thickness of 10mm, diameter 42mm, lightweight, 20mm bracelet, solar-powered, screw down crown, buttery smooth bezel that’s easy to turn, red-colored seconds hand with black face, powerful lume, 4 micro adjustments, 200m water resistance, and I could keep going. Only thing I would change is probably take away the red stripe on the crown, but not a big deal. It performs as it should and keeps great time. This is my dream Seiko and I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger!

Another home run by Seiko. I bought this one recently as it was on sale for a price I couldn’t say no to. It has rapidly become one of the favorites in my collection. I was really amazed at the quality and accuracy of this watch. The SNE591 has my favorite bezel on any watch I own. It just looks so well made and it clicks smoothly and easily compared to others I own. I set it right out of the box and I haven’t had to reset the time since then. It has remained “spot on” to the second. I know quartz watches are supposed to be accurate but I own a Bulova lunar pilot and this is as accurate as that watch, at least in the short term.

I normally don't write reviews but this is an exception. This is an excellent time piece. I've had this watch for almost a year now. Except for adjustments to the date, I've not had to touch this watch. It has maintained the time down to the second. In almost a year, it has neither gain or lost a second of time. My research finds that the solar battery is good for 5-10 years. To say I'm please with this watch is an understatement.

First off, I LOVE this watch. It’s a classic seiko design with homage to Rolex and IMO the Arnie as it’s a black 200m solar diver. Works and looks as is should. The bad. This watch arrived in a small ziplock bag (pictured) enveloped in a slightly larger plastic bag. NO SAFE PACKAGING whatsoever. I don’t know how a dealer can send a watch worth over $500 across the USPS system expecting it to make the destination unscathed. Maybe it’s the durability and quality of the seiko but the watch didn’t have a scratch on it at all. Being that the reviews I read all were brief I feel I should warn buyers to temper their expectations. You will not receive a box or anything other than a 10 cent plastic bag from the kiosk watch repair man at the mall. Really disappointing for the price I paid. ALSO it made seriously question the authenticity of the watch.

I've been wearing this watch on the daily for the past 8 months now and here is what I think. Disadvantages: - I have a 16 cm wrist (approx 6.25") and it is a little on the large side for me (but the 38mm version felt a bit small for my taste) - The bracelet is meh. Advantages: - Solar movement (yes, I consider the convenience of a solar an advantage over an automatic) - Thanks to the 11mm case thickness it looks amazing on a nato strap Verdict: - Full marks (despite the disadvantages) thanks to the number of random compliments been getting

This watch replaces my Citizen Eco-Drive as my new daily. Nothing against Citizen, but the look and feel of this Seiko timepiece is stunning.
