Good buy
Didn’t for my ducting but I just shaved off the insert and it works well. Now keeps the birds from nesting in our dryer vent.

Sturdy, damper woks well
Very sturdy, fits around the existing pipe and the flapper/damper works well. I just wish the overall product were a little bigger so that it would cover the space occupied by the previous one.

Furnace Inflow
Rather than a dryer vent, I made this into a furnace air inflow cover. First, I removed the flapper so that it was always open. The airflow is inward, rather than outward. Screwed it to the exterior wall and inserted the caging. Will work well.

Is as described.
I bought this replacement because the bird guard to my old one was bent out of shape which caused my dryer to stop heating. The new one didn't come with screws. It fits fine. So far so good.

Replaces original 1997 dryer vent but with single walled collar instead of double-walled
It's okay. The particular one I received was not molded very well. There was a lot of excess flashing. This replaced the original Deflecto dryer duct from 1997. That one came with a pipe attached. The pipe was press fit into the collar. The new one doesn't have that same double walled collar but it fits the pipe. I used silver duct tape to wrap at the end of the collar where it meets the pipe to keep it secure. It was difficult to fit back through the aluminum siding and wood behind it where it passes into the house. It's just a little bit thicker. I had to caulk around the edges where the housing meets the house exterior wall. Photos of original damaged double collar dryer vent and new one are posted.
