Step bits make drilling out larger holes so easy! Case is sturdy enough. Can't beat these for the price.

I've recently begun building DIY guitar pedals, and have started drilling my own enclosures. Using drill templates as guides for the holes, I use a starter punch to mark my holes, use a small drill bit to start the holes, then use these for the various holes for the pots, footswitch, LED, I/O jacks, etc. Given that those holes are usually different sizes, these step drill bits allow me to slowly drill until each piece fits just right. These are great for the DIY pedal builder who may not have a drill press or a great work space, but has a hand drill. They get the job done!

Drilled 1200 holes with the same bit into aluminum sheeting and it still has its sharpness and accuracy. Step drills have a tendency to wander but by holding the sheeting in place on a drill press we were able to maintained the quality needed.
