Great performance and value for the money
I have used the 1 TB SSD for a desktop and a laptop on but Windows (laptop) and Linux (Desktp) The results are amazing. My PCs now run so much faster. My old laptop used to take 10 minutes to boot on the old legacy disk drive it came with. It now takes five seconds! The desktop performance is just as good as the PC never waits for the disk to get data any more. I have two of these installed on my desktop and one on the laptop for a year now with no issues.

Still working perfect.

Please be aware it is not initialized (Not partitioned, completely blank)
I tried 2 cable connectors and 2 enclosures and the SSD was not recognized. I tried the same cable enclosure with another disk and verified the cable and enclosures were fine. My first though was it was dead, but researching a bit more found the issue. The issue was that the disk had no partition or any kind or initial setup (all blank). Windows just won't recognize it at all. A MacOs machine was able to detect the uninitialized disk and was able set basic partitioning to FAT (probably a Linux based machine would also detected the disk). Now Windows machines are able to detect.I will be checking how it works and updating the review if I found any issue.

Verified genuine capacity 512GB, works with Fedora 35 Linux
Pros: (1) I verified that the capacity really is 512GB by writing 512107741184 bytes (as monotonically increasing 64-bit chunks) to it while calculating a sha256 hash of the data, then reading it back from the drive. Same hash. If the drive was actually smaller but faking a 512GB capacity, the hash could not match. (2) The drive is much faster than the old 7200rpm SATA drive it replaced. (3) I was able to install Fedora 35 on it in a Dell E6410 laptop. (4) The laptop feels much faster and more responsive, well worth the $22.Cons: (1) The SATA connector does not make reliable contact in the laptop because the drive is thinner than the older 2.5 inch drive it replaced. The drive caddy has trouble holding it at the correct angle for reliable contact. A thin shim is required to build up the drive thickness to the original spec. (2) The "warranty void if removed" labels on the long edge of the drive make the drive too wide to slide into the Dell drive bay. The labels become scraped off along the edge where they fold over. The 2.5 inch drive dimensions spec does not permit labels on this edge. Hey Fanxiang? Put those labels elsewhere.

Great!!
I installed this SSD on my old laptop and it feels brand new! Super fast startup, smooth performance, and easy to install. For the price, it’s a total win. Totally recommend it if you want to speed up your computer without spending much.

Good budget drive.
I purchased this to add extra storage to my Asus Vivobook, but I didn't realize the version I have doesn't have the room to fit the drive inside the laptop. So instead, I got an external drive enclosure and it works like charm. It was easy to install, and has pretty decent read writes speeds for the money. It's a super economical way to add an extra TB of storage.

The wrong components, expect failure.
Unless the product has been used for dozens of hours, you're not going to hear about durability here. You will hear that somebody saved money and that they plugged it in their computer and it worked. If you dig deeper, find out what their components and systems are inside the drive, you will learn not to expect too much out of this product.Mine, well it was DOA. Dead on arrival. So I couldn't confirm what was in it.I did try to contact their customer service both directly and through Amazon. They did not respond so the item is going to be returned at my earliest convenience.Apparently, this is loaded with Phison S11. I did not learn this through their own specifications, I found a reviewer who discovered it in the firmware. The Phison S11 Is famously bad. The S11 was used by some big name companies and it ruined their reputations. There are many other products in this same price point range that will give you much more reliable performance and established customer service channels. I ended up choosing a Patriot P220 drive for something like $1.50 more. I know I will have support and firmware updates if anything is found to be problematic well into the future.Something to keep in mind, a 5-year warranty, which is what they have printed on the box, doesn't mean anything when you have this generic off-brand. There's no accountability when you have a company that is invisible. They could close their Amazon store, they could change names and you'll never know where they're at. I guess it could be analogous to car warranties. A 5-year Hyundai warranty doesn't mean anything compared to a Toyota warranty. Hyundai is famous for blaming the driver for their design flaws.
