Breville Blend Active Family Pack [VBL252]

I love the blender, it's strong, easy to use and does everything a blender should. The bottles are great but sadly out of the 4 I received 3 of the lids have broke already - which now means they spill/leak and mot worth using.

The clip on the lids don't last and are poorly made. I had to contact Breville after a month as two had broken, they sent out replacements. After 6 months I had another few snapped and again Breville replaced. The product is now 14 months old, I have more broken lids and the actual blender bit has worn and useless. Out of warranty and off to be recycled. Very poor quality.

That’s is excellent. Ease of cleaning, great sizes for different types of smoothies and for all the family. Liking the different coloured grip, pink, green, blue & grey for everyone to have one, blends different fruit.

Great blender but the lids are quite flimsy and susceptible to breakage. Only have 2 of the 4 left as the others broke.

Love it! My daughter has one. It's strong and I use it for nuts, breadcrumbs and cheese in small doses.

Bought as a gift

I had the previous version of this blender which was really good, although the bottles tended to break and were expensive to replace. We got to the point where it wasn't easy to get the old bottles anymore, so 'upgraded' to this newer version. I like the design of the bottles better now, although I don't know how long they'll last, but the blender itself doesn't seem well designed at all. On around the 5th time I'd used it, making a banana milkshake (nothing difficult!), the bit where the motor connects to the blade unit completely disintegrated. Looking at other reviews, it seems to be a common problem. I'm assuming it's not user error as I managed to use the previous blender for ages with no problems. This one just seemed to crumble after very little use. When it works, it works really well, but whatever the moving parts are made of isn't up to the job. Amazon directed me to Breville, who replied that it was under warranty so to go back to Amazon for a replacement or refund. However, after chatting with an Amazon representative and realising that it really wasn't worth the hassle of trying to find a box to return it and then lugging it to the post office, I decided to just cut my losses and not bother. I'll buy something better instead and I would recommend that others do the same.
