Works great, installs easy, good value.

Fit perfectly in a MagPul Backpacker stock for Ruger 10/22 take down. I didn't like the fact it didn't come with a washer or stop-nut. The size is M4-.7 I spent $3 more at the hardware store and got it fixed up just how I wanted it. It was other wise very east to install. The fit, finish and build quality are excellent. All in all I think it represents a good value. I am going to order a few more from some other projects.

used for a magpul stock sits nicely, came with different bolt lengths depending on use, the screw and nut i feel is a bit undersized but no issues so far

Got four of these for a Magpul backpacker stock. They fit and can be used together to have Qd sockets on both sides. My only complaint is that they sit proud (above) of the stock by 1/8 of an inch. I can live with it because these saved me from buying the ridiculously expensive type 1 and type 2 Magpul qd sockets.

It's simply doesn't hold Magpul swivels, which require a 3/8" socket. Maximum weight applied on failure is probably three pounds. I've had this issue on higher priced specialty swivels and these cheap ones, and sockets from brands like Magpul, Fortis and others work fine. It's not just a Magpul thing.

For the price it's good my only complaint it seems to want to pop lose on its own if its at the right angle

Can confirm as of 02Oct2022 that the parts kit being sent out by Motain do have a longer screw. This new hardware appears to be perfect length to add 2x of these sling swivel cups "back to back" to the Magpul X22 Backpacker Stock (for Ruger 10/22 Takedown). This will allow ambidextrous sling mounting. Install is a little tricky, you'll need to wedge something against the nut INSIDE one cup while tightening the hex head screw through the other cup (I used a jewelers flat head screwdriver). Attached photos show the hardware after install do NOT interfere with function of a QD sling swivel. These are a fraction of the cost of the overpriced Magpul brand cup mounts, I've already ordered 4 sets of these Motain versions and am very happy so far. Please keep in mind if you want to add ambidextrous QD sling swivel mounts you will need to get 2x of these cups per stock mounting hole on the Magpul stock, so you'll need 4x of these total for the X22 Backpacker to have full mount capacity. If you have all the cups you can sling your 10/22 takedown across your back for travel, then swap to both rear sling attachments for an "at the ready" style sling carry. Highly recommend. Will update if any negative issues of quality arise as I test these further.
