Useful for being propped up in bed. Big, sturdy and a nice washable cover. They are slightly hard, but stable,which is what I need!Update: the cover ripped at the bottom seam the first time I tried to take it off to wash, and then the zipper tab popped off. I emailed the company and they are sending a replacement wedge, just like that. Great customer service!! So updating my review again with 5 stars for that. Thanks!

After receiving the product and opening the box, a strong chemical smell was obvious before even unwrapping the plastic. Once unwrapped, and trying to get on the website as instructed, the website is down. The chemical smell is overwhelming. Took out my Professional grade VOC and toxic gas tester and it failed safety standards miserably. We put it in the back yard to air it out for approximately a day and the odor was less but still very overpowering. Tested the air quality and still did not pass safety standards on the testing apparatus we have. We have four pillows similar to this one from another vendor and have not had any issues. Will be returning back and reporting this immediately.

I got this hoping it would help my sinuses stay clear all night. They would usually plug up minutes after laying my head down on a flat bed. Using two pillows to prop my head up didn't work and was uncomfortable.The wedge bed pillow allowed my shoulders to be elevated as well, making sleep more comfortable with better breathing.

Once I broke it in after a few nights I really liked it. I intended to sleep at the top with largest part in my armpit to relieve weight put on my shoulder. I had stacked two pillows to even out the height from my head to this pillow. So it went two stacked pillows, empty space for my arm to be while I sleep, and then the wedge. Well, the slope was to high and put pressure on my hips, which was almost as painful.I did try putting a pillow under my hips and inbetween my legs to help even out the slope pressure, but I toss and turn so I would have to adjust in the middle of the night.IDEA: They need to make a "platform" that is basically a rectangle of this stuff so it raises the entire body, but leaves enough inches to let your shoulder hang off and still use a thicker pillow.I ended up using it as a 'typical' pillow and it worked! Less pressure on my hips, stress off my shoulder. MAJOR relief. Less headaches, etc.

Got this because I have sleep apnea and I really snore. I was surprised when I first used it and didn't wake up every 20 minutes gasping for air. It also helped my back by sleeping on my back instead of my side. This has been a life saver. It takes some getting use to if you sleep on your side but after a few nights it's fine. It is well made and I hope to have it a long time.

Got this wedge pillow to relieve back pain. My back pain is now almost nonexistent. I went from taking Vicodin daily to taking it hardly at all. I went from level 10 back pain to almost nonexistent back pain. And I have a job where I stand on my feet all day. I love this pillow it has changed my life.

I love this. The wedge isn’t too steep. It fits just right under my shoulders and my husband can still snuggle with me. (He likes it, too.) I can actually sleep even with an upset stomach - which is a miracle!It does have a funny smell - which I was warned of. I’m very sensitive to smells so I sprayed some essential oils on it and it helped. So worth the smell for the relief.

When I got the pillow I put it on my bed and tried to sleep on it. After 10 seconds I shot out of bed. It had a horrible chemical smell. I could not stand it not to mention it was probably toxic. I put the pillow back in the heavy plastic bag it came in, taped it up tightly and put it under the mattress. It doesn't raise me up as much, but on top of the bed was too much for me anyway. I am very happy with it but I cannot recommend it unless you are willing to take a chance on the smell . Others have said it has no smell. Mine was one piece of foam, others report several pieces glued together. The exporter in China probably contracts with more than one manufacturer, so it is pretty much the luck of the draw whether you get a stinky one, a composite one or a good one.I would have given it five stars if it was advertised as an under mattress pillow and had a cover that would seal in the smell, but it is definitely not suitable for sleeping on directly if you happen to get a stinky one.
