Educational gifts for my Grand Daughter and this is great.
Perfect for 3+ years old bought as a gift quite sure she would like and play & learn from and with it. This was a gift for my cute grand daughter who will be 4 in October. Educational toys serve 2 purposes. One keeps my grand daughter busy for hours and gives my daughter a short quiet break. It's a toy, but it's more than a toy. HIGHLY recommend!!

Nice idea, but I would skip it.
This is a nice idea and could help teach some good concepts for little kids (counting, numbers, shapes, size comparisons, etc.), however it isn't the easiest thing to use for kids of the age that are learning that stuff, in my opinion.I tried it out with my 3.5 year old and the biggest issue we had was that the cards slide in and out too easily. When she would point to an image on the card, it would often bump up out of the slot a tiny bit, which makes the card start over (and she didn't even know what had happened). The concept of finding the answer and then matching the colored dot next to it to the colored button has a little bit of a learning curve, too, but she was getting it after a little while. I don't think that this is something she could do on her own yet; perhaps when she is a bit older, but by then she might not need to practice these skills as much. You have to slide the bottom bar each time to register which card is inserted. One card we had to re-insert and do again 2x because it was registering the wrong card. The voice is not too annoying, but does speak quite a bit including giving instructions, encouraging a kid to keep playing, and giving encouragement after getting things correct.

Nice learning tool, could be a bit better!
This is a nice educational activity for small kids, and, with a few changes, it would be perfect! (Too bad I wasn't in on the design!!)Pros:80, yes 80 cards!! Lots to keep the kids occupied!Volume control (high and low)Battery operated (no waiting for a recharge, which can be painful!)Kids love itCons:The cards could be a bit sturdierThe cards could "click" into place better (mid-game, they often get bumped out- frustrating)It would be nice if there was storage for the cards on the back of the device (I had to put the whole thing in a Zip-Lock bag)The crown thing at the top of the device made it difficult for it to fit in that bag.

Nice for young children
I really can't review this as we bought it as a Christmas donation for a child. It looks to be a good learning toy though.

Great for home schooling
I bought this for my 3 yr old granddaughter that is being homeschooled. My daughter-in-law said they love it and use it every day!

Good content, poor product
You get an abundant amount of cards with both front and back testing your kid in all different areas of education, except the product is poorly made. I like the content, but it’s geared for ages 3-4. My 2 year old couldn’t understand and it was too easy for my kindergartener. You need 3 AAA batteries for it to work. The cards easily fit inside the machine, but there’s no way to lock it in place. There’s a barcode at the bottom which designates to the machine which card it is so it can ask the appropriate questions, but you need to move this slider to the right in order to read it. However if you happen to bump the card out slightly, the machine doesn’t detect it anymore so you need to reinsert it in correctly and do the slider thing again. Regardless you need to move the slider to the right for each card inserted. For toddlers, the inability to have the card locked poses a seriously problem. It also might take a bit for a toddler to understand the concept of how it works too, but perhaps with practice. Overall it makes a good attempt at education, but poor design.
