Other Birds will Fear your new Companion
I live in an apartment building that has a large amount of these fist sized birds that will constantly chirp and make babies on your patio. I strapped one of these bad boys to my patio railing and the birds have wholly ignored it. OK to be fair, sometimes they do fly close to it to check it out but it has officially scared off nothing. The plus side is that these paper birds also come with a strip of...holographic plastic? It has a little sticky strip at one end that you can attach to just about anything. Along with the paper bird I also attached one of these strips to the patio ceiling. That strip has saved my patio from birds making babies several inches from my office window.

I almost chose violence
There was a bird this spring that was terrorizing our neighborhood. EVERY STINKING DAY this bird would perch on the side door of our car, look in the mirror, and POOOOOO all down the side of the vehicle. EVERY DAY. I think this bird was lactose intolerant from the amount of poo on the cars. It would hit several cars a day. After taking it to the car was 3 times in one week, I had had enough. I also knew my hubby had enough when I saw the b.b.gun pellets. I convinced him not to shoot the bird...then it hit my car again...and let me tell you, I was sorely tempted to shoot the bird myself. Anyway - googled a possible strategy. One said to hang a pic of an Owl. You get 3 with the order. I hung one - no more poos on my car!!!! I was in shock. My neighbor was still being targeted, so I gave her one of my extras. No more poos for her either!!! HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!! Totally worth it. They do eventually fade - but worth every penny.

These owls have greatly reduced the number of birds
I have quite a bit of fruits & veggies that I grow in our backyard. Unfortunately, when Summer hits and things are ripening, the birds like to get an "easy meal" even if the fruits/ veggies aren't ripe. It's annoying to say the least. When the temps really soar, the birds get desperate. They dig in any plant looking for food, pulling up smaller plants and seedlings in the process.Since last year's Summer was unusually hot I decided to try the owl test. I got these for a number of reasons;#1 You get 3 of them and they're good size (10" or so)#2 I can move them around as I need#3 They come with a bell and reflector strip you can add on (the bell is attached but the strip is optional)#4 You can't beat the price!I have to admit, when I first placed the 2 outside (one under our pergola by the tomatoes and one by the patio overlooking everything else) the birds completely disappeared. Our yard was quiet and devoid of birds for a couple of weeks, easy! Unfortunately, as Summer has gone on and all that yummy easy food has been ripening, the birds have started to come back ignoring the owls. Maybe not completely ignoring the owls because there aren't as many, but these birds are really brazen!I've taken to moving the owls about once a week. I keep them in the general area but in about a 5 ft radius. It seems to make the birds more cautious as the owls seem to "move around". So far, so good.I'm not sure if this will continue to work as the Summer goes on and temperature continue to rise but it is detouring most of the birds right now. If nothing else it has greatly reduced the number of birds I have seen in past years. That in itself is a win!

They definitely work!
We had a problem with birds and pigeons making our gazebo fan their perch. I decided to try these since they were on sale for a good price. I've had them for 5 days and on the first day I only saw 2 small bird droppings after I cleaned up several droppings . After that I haven't seen any new ones. I was tired of the constant droppings. Every day I had to go out and clean. Thankful for these now!
