Zhu Zhu Pets - Adventure Ball Accessory for Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster – Purple

The media could not be loaded.  I was a little worried for the bad reviews, but I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did it’s adorable and a great option for carpets...it’s a little tricky to assemble it. I guess it looks so easy and then the struggle is real and you get frustrated, so be pariente. I spent about 5 min to assembly it correctly other than that it’s so cute I’ll totally recommend it.

This seemed like such a great idea and a fun toy for the Zhu Zhu pet hamsters that I couldn't wait to get this for my grandchildren to play with, but unfortunately there is so much wrong with it that it was a total let-down. First of all, the design is flawed. Anyone who has ever owned a live hamster and had a regular hamster ball will share my frustration in the assembly of the Zhu Zhu Pets Adventure ball, which is next to impossible. Once you figure out how to line up all of the tiny nubs (what a joke), one side will sort of click into place, while the opposite side will snap out of place. Why doesn't it slide/lock together like a real hamster ball does? This ball is completely ill-fitted and does not lock together in any way, shape or form. Simply placing it on the ground with the Zhu Zhu pet inside it made it fall apart entirely. I had to tape it all the way around the seam to get it to stay together just so we could try it out. So, with that out of the way, we then put the Zhu Zhu pet inside the ball and had another immediate problem--you have to be able to turn ON the Zhu Zhu pet to get it to move inside the ball to get the ball rolling. So, okay, we opened the lid, pressed the button on the pet to activate it, closed the lid and....it flipped over before we could snap the lid shut (which also fell off), which shut off the pet entirely, bringing us back to square one. After several attempts, and after taping one side of the lid so it wouldn't fall off, we were able to time it just right so the lid was closed before the pet flipped over, but then the pet stopped rolling so quickly after we released it, plus, the door wouldn't stay shut and had to be taped twice to keep it from opening while it rolls. So, the plastic ball is flawed entirely, AND there needs to be an easier way to press the button to activate the pets without opening the miserable ball (now completely taped shut) each time to restart them. Either way, this ball is really worthless as a toy. The poor fit, falling apart constantly, renders it useless. So my advice is to simply save your money. Even at a low price, these Adventure balls are way over-priced for a non-working, non-functional toy.

Absolutely Great! Not sure how people say it is difficult to put together. I had no problem putting it together. Door? The door has not opened unless I open it. Zhu Zhu hamster rolls nicely in it! I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews.

Ball is super hard to put together. Doesn’t stay together and door is flimsy. Cheaply made.
