Have been taking Ilhwa ginseng since the 90's. During this time took it daily, wow, must have been the right time! Now older and probably need it more. Expect positive results again, but need more time. Bottles got smaller, but prices seem the same, not suprisingly.

I was a little hesitant at first because I had never used liquid ginseng before but this is more like syrup and I can fill a mug with water, pop it into the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds and it is right at boiling temp. Then I pour a little honey into my my and then spoon out a scoop of the ginseng which is really thick. I read one review where they seemed concerned about the plastic spoon being used. It is made out of good thick plastic and I have just used my first bottle almost up and the spoon is the same as new. It takes a minute of stirring to get the ginseng off the tiny spoon but when it has dissolved I take a regular teaspoon to get the honey and ginseng really mixed good. I have seen other complain about the taste but I love it. To me, it is better than a regular cup of tea and very pleasant to drink. Those ginseng pills I used to get never did anything for me that I could tell and I bet they are mostly made with filler and low quality ginseng because even after a month of use, it still tastes good to me and making one when I wake up in the mornings always gets me clear headed and motivated to start my day. I can feel the extra energy as well as better mental focus. I can remember names or words way more quickly. I have always been so bad at remembering names but this is the real deal for top quality ginseng. You can even put it in your regular coffee and I bet you wouldn't even notice and difference in flavor. Forgot those bottles of ginseng pill, I wasted so much money on them before I got this Brand. I will never use any other Ginseng brand than this ever again. I just placed my order for my second bottle. A 1oz bottle lasted me a whole month and I was drinking 3 to 4 cups a day. I recommend this brand over any other. You won't be sorry, I am pretty sure that you will be getting more just like me. I started using ILWHA ginseng extract in 1982. The only place to get it back then were health food stores. At some point in the early 90's it became hard to find so I stopped using it. Fast forward 30 years and my friend texts me a pic of it on Amazon with caption "remember this?" So I jumped right on Amazon a bought it. It arrived today. The box, bottle and spoon are very close to the original. The taste is nearly identical. I just made a pitcher and enjoying my first glass. What a blast from the past.I see one star reviews regarding bitterness.. These customers obviously don't know that ginseng extract has always been bitter. Add some honey and maybe some lemon to offset and you are good to go.It will be on auto order once I find my monthly consumption. Could not be more thrilled.

An expensive extract, but if you're going to try Ginseng you may not want to cheap out. I'm on my second bottle and don't feel a bit better or worse, but maybe I need to take the stuff for 20-years to realize a benefit?. Taking the 1 to 3 gram a day dose, the 1.6-oz bottle will last you 2 to 6 weeks. Depending on your personal wealth it could get to be an expensive habit... taking 3-grams a day amounts to about $1,000 a year. I'll review the stuff with 5-stars simply because I don't have any reason not to. But, if there's a benefit so far I don't know of it.

Packaged in a very traditional way reminiscent of the old Orient the contained Ginseng Extract smells and tastes authentic. The health effects appear weaker than those of a Royal King Red Panax Ginseng Extract made in China. However, this last statement is just a matter of personal opinion. I have no way of measuring this product’s purity or efficacy. I purchased this Korean Ginseng Extract once and I like it so far; but I am not convinced that I will buy it again. Since Ginseng products are often expensive, they are highly imitated with high percentage of Ginseng products sold on the Market being fake. Some tangible way of authenticating quality would have been helpful.

The only thing better is getting it directly from Korea. This is a great tea. Its rich, fragrant, and earthy. The consistency in the bottle is runnier than the one they sell in Korea but it's still really good.

Of any supplement I have ever taken, this one gives me the energy and stamina I used to get from caffeine but without the negatives (jitteriness, irritability, diarrhea). Plus I'm sleeping better at night. Many reviewers say the taste is bitter but I don't experience that in large part on how I prepare it. I fill a large 16 oz microwavable glass cup (silicone sides for safety) and heat it to about 175 degrees in the microwave. Then I pop in two herbal tea bags and let it rest for about 5-7 min. After the tea brews I take out the bags and put in 1 little teaspoon of the ginseng, swish it around until it dissolves and add some stevia. Yumm! Now that I'm doing well with my morning ginseng fix, I'm doing it again in the afternoon with a different herbal tea for flavor variety. Not sure I will go with three servings per day but may try it later on.
