Like Tristram Shandy in the Sixties
He’s an innocent abroad .He loses his work, he loses his mind, he loses his family. But he never loses his humanity. Robert Davidson shows that if you hold onto your dreams, they can come true.Full of amusing stories about eccentrics and mavericks. Loved it .

Full of funny and interesting vignettes, a real page turner.
Robert Davidson is best known for his iconic picture of Frank Zappa on the toilet. His recounting of that story is an eye opener that undoes the many versions that have circulated in Zappa fan circles. Yet his adventures and tales in 'I Shot Frank Zappa' touch on many other artists, and even politicians from the era. Learning the art of photography as he went, initially under the influence of Emile Cadoo, the author moves between London, Paris and New York where, at every turn, he seems to stumble into yet another eye watering adventure. A thoroughly good read with lots of previously unpublished photographs. Davidson lived the 'sex, drugs and rock and roll life' with abandon and his writing style takes no hostages.
