Very simalar to their calendar
I'm still finding the best way to use it this journal / notebook. It has been made the old school way. Leather bound and lies flat when open. Almost like one larger piece of paper so you can leave it *open* on your desk. And you dont have wires interfering with your hand. I chose the tan book with grey spine because I liked the classic look very stylish. And I got the matching calendar / planner. The covers are quite durable and I like the paper thickness. Now heres the part I really like. The pen /pencil rests in the SPINE of the book instead of on the right side of the book. I usually buy notebooks with a pen-loop on the right side or buy 3rd party loops to attach to the notebook. If you have ever tried note books like that you know the pen catches on every little thing. So you have to always be conscious of how you put it in your bag. With this one the pen ends up being 'cradled' into the spine, it prevents the pen from hooking everything it comes into contact with. That is a genius move. I dont really have to take precautions throwing it into my bag. Summary: high quality book binding, Pen loop location makes it very easy to keep a pen with it all the time and you dont have to carry a pen separately. A DEFINITE 'should buy'. 5 out of 5 stars!

Best notebook I've found
Over the past several years I have amassed a small collection of black notebooks used for journaling. I've found them at various stores and mostly have purchased different ones on Amazon. This notebook is the best one I've found and I'm convinced that it's the best one made. To begin, I like the size of this notebook. It's larger than the comparatively-sized Moleskin notebook -- I always thought the Moleskin notebooks were too narrow at 5' x 8.25". Although the product description says that this notebook is 5.7" x 8.4", it seems to be consistent with the A5 paper size (5.5" x 8.25"). Either way, it's slightly wider than the Moleskin notebooks. I definitely enjoy the A5 paper size above other sizes. This notebook also has really nice, thick pages. The paper is noticeably thicker than the paper in a Rhodia Webnotebook, so the overall thickness of the notebook itself is also slightly greater. Another nice feature in this notebook is the smoothness of the paper. It's not as slick as the paper in the Rhodia Webnotebook, but I actually prefer the smoothness in this notebook over the Rhodia. It works well with fountain pens and with very little, if any, feathering. The Lemome notebook has a far superior cover when compared to the Rhodia. The cover on this notebook has a much more leathery feel --much more texture. Further, it seems that it holds up much better. The cover of the Rhodia almost feels fragile and quickly shows marks. The Lemome notebook cover is the nicest I've seen any any similarly-priced notebook. Lastly, the price point on the Lemome beats the Rhodia Webnotebook, too. At their normal price is around $13 (I've purchased them for $12.99 and $13.99) which is more affordable than the Rhodia which comes in at $17.50. I have also purchased the Lemome for as little as $8.75 when they're on sale. Again, the Lemome beats the Rhodia. If you're looking for a really nice notebook for journaling or drawing then you owe it to yourself to try this one. There is a reason I have so many of these on standby in my desk drawer!

Best Journal ever!
I am usually not one for writing a review for something as simple as a journal but I definitely felt like I should share my thoughts on this one. This is probably the best journal I have ever used. Especially for the price point I definitely recommend this purchase! First off it is very stylish and cute and let's be real - we all want something that we are taking the time to write in everyday to be something that is aesthetically pleasing and makes us want to get it out and write in it. It is super sturdy and I have kept it in my purse and never had an issue with pages getting bent or the outside cover getting bent out of shape. It's flexible and sturdy all at once because it's made out of cork. The pages are thick enough that if you are a Bullet Journal Junkie or have a heavy hand that it will not bleed into the page underneath. I also love that even though the outside binding and cover are very sturdy it lays flat on the table with no problem. I definitely recommend and I will be purchasing again in the future!

Well utilized, front to back.
I used this journal to track my time spent on activities during work. I work 80+ jobs in construction project management, so this really came in handy when it came to putting together my timecard at the end of each week. I used a metal ruler to create a vertical line about 1" from the left side of each page, and in that left column I wrote down the start and end times for each activity, as well as the day of the week. I was able to track miles spent, and purchases bought. I was able to track with whom I spoke and what the latest status was. This journal was probably the most well-utilized journal I have ever had in my life. Further, the quality of the journal is great. I like that the lines are lighter and dashed, so they do not distract from the content I am putting down. I like the narrow rule because it allows for more content, especially since I have small handwriting I found this very compatible. The bookmark string was also super useful because I could open right up to where I left off each day. The elastic band came in handy with keeping my pages secure, especially when travelling from job site to job site, from home to office, etc.. I bought another type of journal because I thought I would change it up for the new year, but honestly it just was not nearly as practical as this one. This one is so great for the job, that I had to buy the same exact one again. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Cork-look, not cork. Still good
I've been using these Lemome notebooks for Bullet Journal style recordkeeping and to-do lists/ project tracking for a few years. Lately I've been using my phone and watch for productivity and list type stuff, so I decided to switch from the plain brown dotted notebooks to a lined one, in the same dimensions, since it will be used for less "Bu" and more "Jo." I liked the idea of cork as the material for the cover, for the texture and the sustainability. But this is plastic, with a printed pattern that looks like cork. It's fine. Comparable to the soft texture of the brown version that isn't real leather. Would have been better as real cork, but then who knows how durable that might be? The pen loop also isn't on the spine, and I can't decide if this is better or not. It works fine, and I suppose it's nice to be able to lay the book down and open it up even if the pen is held in the loop.

Beautiful Paper and Lovely Notebook
UPDATE: so the manufacturer sent me a “gift” after reading my review so I had a choice of pens or another notebook. Of course I’m estatic because I LOVE my notebook so I was like SCORE. But they sent me a USED 2019 academic planner never mind it’s almost the 2nd quarter of the year BUT it’s completely filled in with details of Doug’s and Grandpas birthday. Spring Break and when a paper was due. Still love my original notebook and this one will be kept for family jokes at Thanksgiving.... I love this notebook. I purchased one from another manufacturer with linen covers and storage jacket for double the price - it was not great. Excellent price point. The paper quality and line spacing is perfect especially if you are like me with large handwriting and big hands. The quality of the vegan leather cover is wonderful. My favorite feature is though it is not wire bound each page lies flat. I rarely purchase notebooks that are not wire bound because they do not lie flat. This one lies flat on every page from beginning to end. When I first received it I opened the notebook in random places to test out the lie flat feature and it never disappoints. Great outer elastic to keep it closed when not in use and a lovely ribbon to secure your place inside the book. The back pocket is large enough to store cards, notes and other postcard size items. the pages are sewn together so they will not come apart during heavy usage. I love this notebook so much I purchased two more for church and personal journaling

A Writer's Best Companion: Lemome's A5 Classic Notebook
As an avid writer and journal enthusiast, I've found my perfect match in the Lemome Thick Classic Notebook with Pen Loop. I've been a loyal customer, regularly reordering these gems for their unparalleled quality and functionality. One of the standout features for me is the paper's thickness. It's not just your average, flimsy notebook paper; it's robust, durable, and can withstand a significant amount of wear and tear. This feature is particularly important for someone who journals daily and takes numerous notes. The notebook's hardcover design is another plus. It provides the perfect balance between sturdiness and flexibility, allowing me to write comfortably whether I'm at a desk or jotting down thoughts on my lap. The notebook's design ensures it lays flat, which is a small but critical detail for seamless writing. There's no struggling with pages trying to close themselves as you write, a common annoyance with lesser notebooks. The included bookmark is a thoughtful addition, keeping my place without the need for dog-eared pages or external markers. Its size is another aspect worth mentioning. The notebook strikes an ideal balance between portability and usability. It's small enough to carry around without hassle, yet large enough to write in comfortably without feeling cramped. Over the years, I've filled dozens of these notebooks and have occasionally ventured to try other brands. Yet, time and time again, I find myself coming back to the Lemome A5 Notebook. It's not just a notebook for me; it's a reliable companion for my writing and journaling journey. In summary, the Lemome Thick Classic Notebook with Pen Loop is a top-tier choice for anyone serious about their writing. Whether for journaling, note-taking, or simply recording daily thoughts, it's a notebook that won't let you down. Highly recommended!

Love my Lemome!
After trying many brands of expensive and/or low quality notebooks to use as bullet journals, I recently bought a "Lemome Thick Notebook/Journal with Pen Loop" and it has become my new favorite. The Lemome has a well-crafted leather cover with smooth rounded edges. It has 192 high-quality sewn pages which allow it to lay completely flat. It features an elastic loop closure, a ribbon page marker, a rear pocket including a sheet of colorful page tabs, and a pen loop on the outside bound edge. All these features are very nice but my favorite thing is the amazingly soft, smooth, THICK paper. It is by far the thickest paper I've ever found in any journal! I use very wet and deeply pigmented pens and I never have any ghosting or bleed through in my Lemome. In the past, I've had to abandon notebooks because of ghosting, so I am very happy to have found the Lemome. Other journals can cost $20 and up, but the Lemome is only $12.99 and I have zero complaints about its quality. It comes in black or brown, dot or ruled. If you absolutely must have a brightly colored cover, or pre-numbered pages, or pre-printed Index pages, or an included bullet journaling guide,, the Lemome might not be your top pick. However, I'm happy to save a little money since I didn't have to sacrifice any quality. All the features and the amazing paper more than make up for the 2 minutes I'll spend numbering my own pages. And I'm happy with the classic black cover because the inside will be filled with all the color I can imagine and none of the ghosting or bleed through that happens with many other brands of journals.. Love my Lemome!
