Not for the Knowledgable Buyer
If you are just learning about what is out there and what generally to look for in Lotus Seven replicas, then this book MAY have some value. For those familiar with the Lotus Seven and replicas, save your money or recognize this is simply an addition to your Super Seven library, nothing more.Geared towards the UK market, the book spends a majority of its pages on the generic car buying topics: examining paint finish, check the cleanliness of fluids, check for accident damage, check the underside of the car for scrapes/damage, etc. Discussions on values, i.e. motorcycle engined cars are worth more(?), appear to be opinion (versus fact) based and also unique to specific markets. To suggest it is an "Essential" Buyer's Guide is a reach. This book was definitely not of value to me, but I should have known better based on it's price.
