I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THIS INVERTER FOR TWO REASONS ONE IF IT EVER GETS HOT ENOUGH IT HAS A FAN THAT WILL COME ON AUTOMATICALLY AND TWO FOR IT BEING 30 AMPS. I GOT IT TO POWER MY CB RADIOS AT 13.8 DC VOLTS AND IT DOES ABOUT 14.1VOLTS WHICH IS GREAT FOR WHAT I WANT IT TO POWER. I HAVE A 40 CHANNEL CB AND 100 WATT KICKER AND THE FAN HAS NEVER COME ON SINCE I PLUGGED IT IN TO USE IT. IT IS WHISPER QUIET AND NO INTERFERENCE COMING IN THE RADIO FROM IT. ALSO THE UNIT ITSELF HAS NEVER GOT WARM TO THE TOUCH EITHER, LIKE FROM OVER DRIVING IT. SO IF YOUR WANTING TO SET UP A CB BASE STATION IN THE HOUSE, DON'T OVER LOOK THIS INVERTER WHICH IS SMALL AND OF GOOD QUALITY GOOD VALUE AND PERFORMANCE AND WHISPER QUIET. IT DOES HAVE A FUSE AND THAT WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN SOMETHING ISN'T RIGHT JUST IN CASE. OK THEN I'M DONE. 73'S--027TAMPABAY..

I am a ham and needed a quieter and higher Amp power supply and this unit runs very quietly while generating no appteciabe heat on my desk powering my AnyTone dual bander. It is a very well made and high quality device.

Works good with a 50 watt gmrs radio.

This review is specific to the 30 Amp 13.8V fixed voltage power supply.I purchased this supply to provide ground power to the avionics of my RV-14 and so far it has worked great for that purpose - my baseline draw is 8 Amps and bumps up to a peak of around 25 with _everything_ on that bus active and this supply has handled it without issues. It's quiet both audibly and electrically and the system sees the 13.8V as an alternator input so it effectively charges the system backup batteries.The only downside is that I anticipated the screw terminals to have removable caps so I could use ring terminals on my power lead, but they are captive and require fork terminals to connect.

Powered up my 2m rig with no problem. These units are very straightforward, no meter, no voltage adjustment. This is just what I needed, a compact 13.8v power source. Great for portable or base station use. Arrived quickly, will likely buy again.

Great replacement for all those aging Radio Shack power supplies out there. This little supply is really nice for the price and doesn't get hot. When the fan runs, you can't hear it. Well done guys.

I've had this power supply for 9 months now for my Yaesu 2m mobile ham radio on a bench. It's been very good so far to date. I just bought a Yaesu FT-891 and going to put it on this power supply as well. I'm not going to have both connected at the same time, just one or the other.Full disclosure: I get into my local ham radio repeaters on 2m at lowest power setting, so I have not cranked up to a full 50 or 100 watts. So, I've never really put this power supply under heaviest loads. Since I'd rather be a good neighbor than try to fry my power supply, I will likely never take it that deep into it's power rating
