Good sounding spoken word dynamic microphone, well built and looks pretty good too.

I was really impressed with this microphone - really well made and captures sound really nicely.It's worth noting that there are 2x downsides:- it doesn't come with a USB connector so you'll need to get an adapter if planning to use with a computer- it doesn't have a stand; whilst I wouldn't expect a microphone to come with a stand, even a small desk stand would have been handy.But, overall, am really pleased with this.

My son wanted this for Xmas. He loves it and does what it needs to.

Mic is pretty good

This mic impresses in package, first impressions are of quality, and weight.Things then went a little south for me.I can't go any further in this review without spending time and money getting an XLR interface to power this mic and send the signal into a standard headphone jack that I can use with my PC.I'm sure the quality will far exceed the various mic's I have used thus far, either in webcams or stand alone jack and USB types -- but equally I cannot know.Now given the great first impressions I had of this product I did seriously consider buying an XLR power supply and an XLR to 3.5mm jack cable - in order to test the product.But that wouldn't be true review of the experience of receiving this.This is because the headline description is I find, deceptive. "Donner Dynamic Podcast Microphone" because it really isn't.A podcast implies design for a digital device, a PC or similar that you can then connect to - to well, "podcast".At the time of writing you have to read to the bottom of the first paragraph before getting to (48V Phantom Power or Audio Interface Required).So this is 48v Phantom Power microphone, that can then be used with any device that provides that powered interface - and then can be connected to any device by an appropriate cable.I would not expect a passive speaker that needs an amp to be described as “Podcast Speaker” or “PC speaker” and then have in the smaller print “Power Amplifier and leads required”.Am I guilty of not reading the full product description?Yes I am, and I'm very deliberate about it. Let me elucidate, my role as a Vine Reviewer is give an opinion on a product provided to me, but it is also to approach this as just another Amazon Customer, which I was until Amazon asked me to participate in the Vine program. Most of the time I am just another customer, who maybe searched “Podcast Microphone” and found this.It's very important the headline product description accurately describes what the product is - for both Amazon and the customer.The need to spend at least another thirty quid on a separate unit in order to communicate with a PC etc. does not warrant being regulated to later on in the smaller print.Indeed the concluding line reads - "You can have all the accessories you need to make your podcast all at once."Which I don't find to be accurate.The truth is the headline is what people read first, and many don't read any further.For that reason, for the purposes of Vine Reviews, I deliberately stick to reading the headline description of items, and no more - unless it is made obvious I need to dig deeper. An example would be say clothing to determine/choose an appropriate size.So, after some soul searching, I came to the difficult decision that I had to give this product a one star review - as I believe it is reasonable to expect based on the headline title that this mic would connect directly to the device that creates digital media files for distribution over the internet.

I have this connected to my PC via a USB-C to XLR female adapter as I don't have connectivity available to use it with my PC unless I do so. This doesn't come with an adapter itself as it's designed with a more professional purpose in mind.The microphone itself picks up good quality sound which is clear and crisp. Slightly muffled if you have the wind guard on the end of it but this isn't an issue as it can be slid on or off as you please. It is provided with a mic grip mount but unfortunately no stand which means you will need to get a compatible one as it doesn't fit with a standard size mic/camera mount. I got around this issue by using a camera stand with a clamp on the end and it has stayed firmly on there and it moveable to wherever you need it to be. You also get with the kit: 3m XLR cable though as I previously stated, there are XLR - USB-C adapters available on Amazon that can be used with this and work just fine. A spit catcher to avoid dirtying the mic when you shouting into it, as isn't uncommon and a travel bag for it all to go inside.I would say this is a decent microphone for streamers, vloggers, podcast creators and generally anyone that uses a professional microphone for work or any other purpose.The mic also picks up a good amount of highs, lows and mids to give the user a perfect sounding recording device that doesn't compromise on build quality. My only issue with this is the lack of a kind of universal mounting screw requiring the purchaser to buy a compatible one that could be easily included at next to no extra cost to the manufacturer.

Un microfono che mi ha sorpreso alla grande, lo consiglio a chi ha bisogno un buon microfono da studio senza spendere cifre enormi anche perchè il prodotto vale molto di più del prezzo che chiedono.

Pour le prix, ce micro à large membrane représente une excellente entrée dans le monde de la prise de son de qualité studio.Il est de belle facture, bien présenté et la boîte protège efficacement le matériel qui peut sans souci passer par un service de livraison "musclé" sans craindre de dégât.Le micro est fourni avec un câble XLR de 3 mètres, un support anti-choc, un filtre anti-pop et un étui souple de rangement (qui fait un peu cheap).L'appareil est solide et bien fini et le corps métallique a une finition brossée peu sensible aux traces de doigts. Le niveau de finition est excellent.En pratique on a affaire à un micro à condensateur à large membrane, ce qui le démarque des matériels d'entrée de gamme et offre une sensibilité et une pureté sonore permettant un rendu adapté aux situations exigeantes (chant, enregistrements studio...).Il est pourvu de deux curseurs pour régler l'atténuation sonore ou la zone de capture du son (3 modes : circulaire, centré d'un côté ou adapté à deux interlocuteurs se faisant face).Attention à la connectique : le micro est orienté studio et ne possède qu'une sortie XLR ; si vous souhaitez l'utiliser sur une entrée jack (utilisation PC...) il faudra utiliser un convertisseur qui n'est pas fourni (on en trouve à moins de 20€).
