This GE TM3000 thermometer was designed and manufactured with GE license in full compliance of GE’s design and quality criteria,  This product was designed to GE’s design specifications by New Jersey based team.  
             It is manufactured In China.  It was tested by our NJ team to be fully compliant with GE quality criteria.  This TM3000 model is FDA and CE certified.

Why, when I take my temperature does it give me a reading of 77°??

There could be two reasons why you are seeing 77 degrees:
•	This GE  thermometer ( Model TM3000)  operates in “Body”  or “Surface” mode.  To take the temperature of a person, you should be in Body mode.  The Surface mode operation is for taking the temperature of an object (e.g. milk bottle).  TM3000 automatically calibrates sensor readings to body temperature in Body mode or to surface temperature of objects in Surface mode using different calculations.  It is possible you accidentally set the mode to “Surface” mode meant for taking temperature of Things (e.g. baby bottle).  That may cause the thermometer to show the ambient temperature.  Please make sure the thermometer is in “Body” mode.
•	The other reason could be, , that the thermometer was not in the right position. thermometer should be within 1” from your forehead.  If it is not in the right position (within 1 inch) in the Body mode,  a forehead thermometer will not trigger to take the temperature.

A few pointers:
•	For taking the temperature of a person, use the MODE button (GEAR symbol) on the side to toggle to Body mode.  
•	Make sure the MUTE (half-moon symbol) is NOT on.  If MUTE is on, there will not be any beeps to indicate the temperature has been registered.  (MUTE should be on ONLY for taking temperature of sleeping babies.)

2.	Why am I seeing the same readings for everyone in the room?  Also, it just blinks but does not work.

•	This GE TM3000  thermometer operates in “Body”  or “Surface” mode.  To take the temperature of a person, you should be in Body mode.  The Surface mode operation is for taking the temperature of an object (e.g. milk bottle). It is possible you accidentally set the mode to “Surface” mode meant for taking temperature of Things (e.g. baby bottle).  That may cause the thermometer to show the ambient temperature.  Please make sure the thermometer is in “Body” mode.[Display should show the PERSON icon.

•	You are just seeing blinks because MUTE is on.  Except for when you are taking the temperatures of sleeping babies, MUTE should be off so you get audible feedback.  HALF MOON icon for MUTE should NOT be seen on the display.
