Great Product
Very nice, fits perfectly. My old key holder cracked, and I did not need to pay for a new chip and key for over $150. Very quick fix, and you get 2 in a package!

Great for repair!
For anyone looking to use individual parts of this product for a repair on your already existing key I would highly recommend you purchase this. I cannot personally speak for the strength or durability of the metal key sent in this product however I did not purchase it with the intent of using that key in the first place. I rather bought this with the intent to use the internals and plastic cover to repair my own key and reprogram the remote entry on my car. It turned out to be a very simple process requiring only a new battery for my key, the parts in this kit, and a paper clip. I understand that it is not likely that anybody else is currently in or will be in a similar situation to what I was and see this review but I figured I would write this review nevertheless and let it be known that this kit works wonders at an affordable price if your intent is to repair the internals or plastic cover of your already existing key and possibly reprogram it. I also want to let it be known that I learned you could reprogram these keys for Mitsubishi cars very simply with a paper clip through a YouTube video that makes it very clear and easy to follow in case this information does turn out to be useful for somebody. Just simply find the video about reprogramming Mitsubishi keys via a paper clip and you should be all set for an easy repair.

Don't bother for a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant
So I bought this to replace the key fob I crushed. I've done this a couple of times before. So not my first rodeo. As the description states you need a right slide groove, this I have. Description also states you need to switch out the chip out of your old fob and into the new. Easy enough. You need to have a battery. No brainer, but here's the rub the metal clip for the battery was not installed at all. Worse no instructions included. What is included is a slip for free programming resources, which you probably don't need. I did go there and no there isn't any instructions. For me, I've done this plenty of times so I had no issues, but for someone with no background it could be frustrating. Also, if you have no background and try to cowboy it, be gentle, it is easy to break the metal clip.As for the blank key part. Other replacement fobs I have bought didn't come with the key blank. Instead they included a screwdriver. I figured that's ok, I have my own. Well, here's the rub, my already perfectly good key has a stabilizing base (see third photo). Typically, you can unscrew the plastic piece and just place in and re-screw OR you can unscrew and slide it in from the top. However, with this fob replacement you can't (see first photo). At this point I have a few options: waste more time and money having to return the fob (now I need to find a box or envelope to put it in and drive to a return location) and then wait for a new fob either from these guys or someone else OR I can pay an extra $8 to have a locksmith key it. So I choose the second. I've used the locksmith for other car keys/fobs before and they are awesome, but they said it would be too short like other's have experienced. We still tried though and they were right, too short, unusable. Overall, the parts seem quality but the design is just junk. Pay the extra few bucks for the more expensive replacements, you'll save yourself from a headache and wasted time and money. For the vendor, make the blanks longer AND inform people that they can't use their already keyed key in this. You can see the stark difference between the two "blanks"/keys in the third photo. Also note that even if this works for you, your key is literally only held in that fob with one little screw, so if it feels loose you better tighten it right away or switch it out to a new fob. Otherwise, you'll be trying to get that little key out of your ignition when it pulls away from the plastic.

Perfect fit
I have a 2011 Lancer, this key and casing fit and work perfectly in the ignition. Great product. Also came quickly in the mail.

Saved me over $100!!!
My original key broke so I bought this replacement. I removed the red key fob from the old key and put it in this one. I took it to Walmart automotive and had them cut the duplicate (free). I tried using it and the key didn’t turn over. I notice the new key was longer than the original, so I took wire cutters and chipped some off the top. The key worked perfectly!!! I got price quotes and was told $120 to replace because the key had a sensor!! People will tell you anything for to get money!

Good for an extra door key
This does not include the transponder so it won’t work to start your car, but we just wanted a spare to open the dorr incase you lock the keys in. The case was also in better shape than the old one so we swapped everything out.
