Full of surprises
I bought this on a whim. I was looking for stuff to add to my raman noodles and this popped up. I thought it was just a mushroom and onion mix that I could add to soups. When it came in, I was surprised to find out it is actually a seasoning blend with salt. First thing I did was smell it (I was disappointed with the slight aroma) and then I tasted it. Wow, I was again surprised with the explosion of taste. While I couldn't directly pick out the flavor of mushrooms and the onion was faint, it did remind me slightly of onion soup mix. The next surprise didn't hit until a moment later and that was the slight spice this mix has. I had to go back and reread the ingredients and that was when I saw red pepper. The spice is on the low end but if you are someone who can't stand any spice, beware this does have a bite to it.I had originally thought this was going to be put in the drawer and brought out to season soups, however, I tried it with popcorn and it's great and will probably only be used to season popcorn now. I will be buying a bigger container when this one runs out.

Gives your food that extra somethin’ somethin’..
I love this seasoning! When I first bought it, I was hesitant on using it because I have mushroom haters in the house, but I find they enjoy the flavor this seasoning adds, too. I just don’t tell them what’s in it. It truly does elevate just about any dish I add it to. I recently added it to a homemade minestrone and my mother asked for the recipe, but when she made it she said it didn’t taste like mine. I believe it was this seasoning that made the difference.

It’s ok
The seasoning is not bad, but it did not meet my expectations. I anticipated a salty flavor similar to monosodium glutamate for an umami taste, but it turned out to be different. It has a bit of spiciness, which may be noticeable for someone like me who has a low tolerance for spicy foods. Overall, it's not a bad product; it just doesn't match the flavor I was looking for .

First night I used this with Tofu, im not vegan but switching to a more plant based diet, so I can be a little pickier about vegan dishes. I don’t really care for vegetables much.Regardless the first night I got this I threw some oil, flower and this seasoning on tofu and tossed it in the air fryer.It was AMAZING. My partner, who doesn’t really like onion, also loved it. Will definitely be using this as a staple.
