The siren mechanism on it is loud. The sheer heavy duty looks and blinking red alarm light is definitely a deterrent. Had it for 7 months so far and still havent changed the batteries.Only thing is, it might be an awkward fit for some vehicles where it might not close completely but still locks. Also can scratch up your steering wheel. I solved the problem by using electrical tape around the 4 teeth of the wheel gripping part.Overall definitely worth the investment to protect against against auto theft.

I bought this one (November 2024) as a Low-profile VISUAL Theft-Deterrent, as my vehicle has an Immobilizer and Alarm built in. So far I am 100% pleased with its overall performance:It's smaller & NICER LOOKING than the "Club" and takes only seconds to install. Yet, it's still visible enough to DETER Car thefts. It's easy to store; the lock seems solid and smooth. I especially like that you don't have to use the key to lock it, after installing it onto the Steering wheel - it locks automatically!Based on other negative reviews about the built-in alarm and "stuck key" issues, I was aware and prepared: I immediately oiled the lock with some Teflon lubricant (see link below) and did NOT bother using the alarm feature -- it simply was not important to me.So far, the lock mechanism is still solid and SMOOTH AS SILK. This works great and is very easy to use ! After a couple of young guys almost got away with my husbands car at work we decided to purchase this,. The security guard literally scared the two criminals away at the last second . Since he still wants to drive that car to work the police suggested a club . This seems a lot sturdier and has an ear piercing alarm. So far so good !🤞🏻

Don’t buy! This steering lock malfunctioned and I could not unlock it. I had to cut the steering wheel in order to drive home. I tried calling the company’s 800 and could not talk to anyone, this without doubt is the worst experience purchasing anything ever! No info online to help or trouble shoot, several articles about people who had the same experience

So far I guess this is a deterrent for casual thieves..It's the guys who can take 4 wheels off in 20 seconds is who I'm worried about...ONE THING ABOUT THIS DEVICE: YOU MUST CLOSE AND LOCK IT VERY GENTLY..I MEAN SOFT AND GENTLY..If you don't, it will be difficult to unlock..The key will turn the lock but the locking mechanism won't disengage..You will need to bang it with a wrench with the key in it, to open the lock.

Bought this for a trip I was taking to Detroit, Mi there was no one going to steal my car with this on. They will look at it and just keep right on walking.

In December some thieves almost made off with my daughters 2017 Kia luckily for us something must’ve scared them off. So I searched online and found this gem. Well, someone came back the other night and smashed the window but because the key did not unlock this device, the alarm started to sound and they left unfortunately $100 deductible later for glass but at least we still have the car. If you’re looking for something, this is perfect, with a key coming to fit the lock No, to the same as we have two of these, we now feel secure that they will not be able to steal my daughters car or my truck. Just a reminder, don’t try to drive away with it closed as it too, will sound off, even though you have taken it off of the steering wheel. I highly recommend this product for any car that does not have the push button start that thieves are breaking into to take your vehicle.

Using for my 97 HONDA CRV Also with a regular steering lock on and a Brake pedal Lock with a hidden Killswitch :)All these locks are on so they won’t damage steering wheel trying to cut around it The alarm is loud and will scare thief’s off I highly recommend it and watch a video how to use get a better understanding if you write a bad review your not installing it correctly I’m assuming ;)
