Colonial CNT-1 CottageCutz 2-in-1 Needle Threader

This needle threader has been a great addition to my sewing tools. I can thread a needle so much quicker using this now.

This is great! A large & small needle threader in one unit. Easy to use.

seems to work well, but it does look somewhat fragile, although sturdier than the little metal ones. The trick is to be sure your needle's eye is big enough for the threader. The filament is a type of plastic, hope it does not break.

I purchased this because I was frustrated with how quickly the needle threaded I purchased at the local department store kept falling apart. I'd spend $3 for a 3 pack that most times I'd only get a couple uses out of before the wires would fall off/disconnect. I was a bit skeptical about this as it looked as if the wires on this could fall apart just as easily but so far it's been really sturdy despite all the use it gets. Previously the 3 packs would last maybe 3-4 days, but I've been using this well constructed gadget for over 2 months & it's still going strong. I only wish that I had found one of these a lot earlier as it would have saved me not just money but a lot of frustration. I highly recommend this handy little gadget as it might cost a bit more than the cheaper little threaded but it is more than worth it given how durable it is.

This is simple and easy to use. You can use for hand or machine sewing needles. It works great. Sometimes I have trouble seeing to put the thread into the wire, but that's not the fault of the threader, it's my vision. I need a threader because I can't see well enough to thread a needle anymore. I have purchased other types of needle threaders and some only worked with some needle sizes and not others. This threader has a different size wire at each end so that you can use more than one size needle. I have only used this a short time, but it worked great. I keep it next to my sewing machine to thread my needles.

Surprisingly not as indestructible as I had expected based on the long list of 5 star reviews. It's good, the "thread" sized threader only lasted about 50% of the time I've needed to invest in my daughter's applique christmas stocking. It's nice, easy to find, and easy to handle and I might buy another, but I wasn't particularly rough on it and the needle end eventually just popped out, making the threader fairly useless.
