30A RC Brushless Motor Electric Speed Controller ESC 3A UBEC with XT60 & 3.5mm Bullet Plugs

These are awesome little brushless ESC's, really reliable, durable, easy to program and surprisingly powerful, I like to diy add my own cooling block and seal both ends with epoxy where the wires come out just to hopefully prolong the life of the ESC 🤷 high quality for a great price and fast shipping

Seem to work as expected. Do not tolerate electrical abuse at all.

Worked well for me

I am using this to test various brushless motors for a non-RC application. The "beeping" programming is nice for those not wanting to purchase additional programming devices. I docked it one star because the "soft start" parameters (Very Smooth - 1.5 secs , Smooth - 1sec) appear to be ignored or possibly not stored after programming, as the motor (Goolsk 2216) jumps immediately to start speed. Overall, though, this is a nice item to have in the developer's toolbox.

Delivery was quick and was easy to access the manual via the grid code. Initial hook up on a used older plane went well and seems to work well in the shop. Still have more mods to do on plane and winter to pass to get the real test. But so far so good. Happy with purchase so far.

While the ESC works properly when raising throttle from MIN to MAX and the RPM response curve is almost linear, there's a hysteresis lag when lowering the throttle from MAX to MIN, the RPM stays constant when going from 100% to 80% throttle, then it falls abruptly, then it becomes almost linear again. I tried reprogramming the ESC with the prog card (which I have) and cannot find a mode that eliminates this problem. Flying a quad like that becomes problematic if the RPM response is lagging a lot. May be the reason why the quad crashed in auto mode.

I ended up purchasing 3 of these ESCs after buying and testing the first one. I had no problem programming these with a transmitter There is great info on the web. Also there is a program card available. That switching BEC enables the esc to run much cooler than my old style esc, with the same motor in the same airplane. 3 amps of power is better than 2 amps, as my plane has 6 servos, and a gyro in it. I will buy more of these exclusively in the future. Of course I might get a defective one, but that happened with my lawn mower, too! Stuff happens.

Very good SBEC. It really does not get hot so it is a true Switch Mode BEC. the online instructions and information is accurate and very helpful. I have many of these with no problems.
