This book is a genuinely beautiful, thoughtfully-crafted, intelligently-written inspiration to anyone who wants to understand and develop what art means in their life. Getting to know Emily and Sarah through their art, their story and their relationship is a delight, and sheds so much light on how to create your own artistic journey, either from first principles or from being an established artist. I'm personally pretty inexperienced in artistic terms (I knew which end of a paint brush to paint with, but not much else). This book de-mystified the process of becoming more confident with art, and one of the big inspirations I took was not to be scared of failing (there is no failure - only experience). Following some of the really useful and often ingenious practical tips really helped me and really made me stop and think. This is a journey not just about art but about self-awareness in a really positive, fun, sometimes silly, productive and safe way which is a joy to follow. Including inspiration/case studies from a number of other professional artists is a really nice touch which adds an extra dimension. And above all else, it's just really beautiful. Sarah and Emily's art is vibrant, uplifting and the book is packed full of it - every page is colourful, energetic and exciting. It just leaves you wanting Moore.

The two authors Emily and Sarah are a brilliant blend of experience and knowledge that bring a warm welcome to anyone who has ever wanted to create art but was too afraid. They take you step by step through creating your own work, how to stay inspired, what to do and how. There really is no other all-encompassing guide to painting on the market today. Not only that but they also include wonderful examples of some of their favourite female artists and how their work has inspired each of them. Gorgeous bright colours from cover to cover. Good for a flick through or an in depth read, you’ll always find something to do in this book!

Adore this book, pre-ordered on a whim, it's fast turning into a favourite. Great to dip into or work through page by page, it's full of encouragement, insights, stories of inspirational women artists and what we can learn from them. On another note, this book represents good value for a hardback publication with high production values, including a well-thought-out, stylish design, which is chock full of bright, uplifting artwork. A wonderful book for those of us who are reticent when it comes to anything to do with art. It has set me on a path that I would never have taken if I hadn’t bought this book. A beautifully presented book full of vibrant colours and inspiring imagery and ideas. I love it! Highly recommended.
