Hello, we never suggest watering from the bottom part, there are multiple holes on the top for watering conveniently. Excessive water will flow into the outer pot which worked as a reservoir. the roots will absorb the water automatically Therefore helps to prevent overwatering, and plants also can be self-watering all the time. I understand exactly what you're talking about. You need to use pressure in this instance. I water with the squeeze bottles (like a first aid wash bottle) and I carefully aim it right into the spout holes, or alternatively you can rest the tip on the water inlet of the pot, and then gently squeeze. The pressure will force it down.
