adequate but a little lacking in overall quality
....................... I bought 2 of these units to act as a backup to 2 other coaxial strippers that I already own I bought these from tossell 888 who is a second party vendor to amazon. I paid only $1.70 each with no shipping charge but they were shipped all the way from central china and took over two weeks to arrive in my mail and were shipped by the china postal service. these are not an ultra high grade type of coax stripper but they do seem have to an equal number of benefits versus drawbacks............................................................................................................................................................................................................................ the benefits are (number one) the inexpensive price and the free shipping all the way from china. (number two) this stripper is capable of stripping four different gages of cable or wire with a rotary x shaped insert that can be twisted around to match the size of wire or cable being stripped.(number three) this particular stripper has the ability to adjust the blade depth with a set of hex screws on the backside of the unit with the included hex key tool attached to the back of the stripper. many coax strippers on the market don't have this feature. (number four) this particular set of coax strippers do not at least in my opinion seem to be made out of the type of low grade plastic that can cause tools like this to brake / fail / or crack apart prematurely and this tool does seem to have a quality feel about it as compared to some other similar coax stripper products that I have seen or used in the past. ..................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... the drawbacks are (number one) the fact that it took over two weeks to receive it as I didn't completely know that it was being shipped all the way from china at the time I placed the order. (number two) I don't like the fact that the hex key that is used to adjust the blade depth which is kept on the backside of the unit can be so easily lost. (number three) this is not an easy tool to adjust the blades have to be individually readjusted each time you change the gage of the wire or cable being stripped. (number four) if you don't set up or adjust the cut depth of the blade accurately to the wire or cable gage being cut or stripped this coax stripper will not work effectively it will under or overcut the wire or cable and will leave an uneven or jagged unclean cut that will have to be recut again with possible blade adjustment and this may have to done multiple times until you get it done right. ............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ in final summation this is not a hopelessly horrible tool but it does take some experience to set up and it can be a little bit stressful to adjust and use effectively without continuous or repetitive use and the type of expertise that allows you learn its settings or tricks of use. understand this is in my opinion is not a pro grade tool that caters to professional T.V. subscription service installers like time warner or AT&T but from my experience over the years having numerous cable T.V. installers / technicians and repair specialists do maintenance work upgrades or installations on my home this does seem to be the most popular type of coax stripper tool used in the industry. so you can take this review with a grain of salt and use it to help you make up your own mind on this coax stripper as a possible tool to purchase for your needs or not.

All strippers are pretty much created equal
If you are gonna do lots and lots of cables, spend a little more money. But, they all work the same, and why not spend as little as you can get away with. This has a 4-position anvil and adjustable blades, comes with the Allen wrench to adjust the blades tucked away securely. Very nice to use.The screw sleeves that the adjusting screws for the blades are threaded in are press fit and came loose as soon as I started to adjust. A drop of super glue held each sleeve in place. And, it probably invalidated the warranty, but, hey? Who would ever send a warranty claim on this anyway? Cheaper to buy another one than mail it back.

Excellent!
This handy tool is hard to find in your local Hardware stores. This is the only place I can find this at a very low price. There are other stores that sell at double, maybe triple this price in addition to UPS or FEDEX shipping, making it very expensive. But here I miraculously found what I was looking for. This is a rotary cable stripper for large ga. wire. I use it for 6 - 2 GA wire. Perfect. Just position where you want to cut, squeeze shut, put your finger in the pull hole and cut round and round until you feel the bumpy wire core and pull off the insulation. Before I would use my knife to do this and it was hard work. Now, I can do a perfect cut in seconds. But there is one thing that is missing. Extra blades. I still haven't found any. But the blade I have still cuts after about 100 cuttings. I recommend this.

Just fine for the price and light use
I bought this to fix a couple wires in my house. I know I'll never need this again so I didn't want to spend a lot. This tool did the job. It's adjustable and has thorough instructions on the package. I gave it 3 stars because the jaw doesn't open wide enough to easily fit the cable in. You need to push the cable into the opening. But after that it worked fine. Also it's a little difficult to get the empty wire insulation out of the cutter after you finish stripping a wire. The shipping time was accurate - it took over a month to arrive (direct from China). I would buy it again.

It works as advertised
With one cutter adjusted wide open, I have used one like this at work to remove the jacket on ethernet cable. This one works pretty well for smaller diameter cable. It has adjustments for both cutters to fine tune them. I found the jaws did not open quite as far as I would like for RG-6 coax. The cutters float, so they need to be on the low side when inserting cables, or they can get in the way. Overall, this cutter is cheap and works, but for my needs, there are better version for a couple dollars more.

Rotary Coaxial Cable Cutting Tool
Product is ok. One of the screw to adjust the cutter constantly come out by itself but not a big deal if you are only cutter cable once in a blue moon. Definitely not for everyday installation use. Good for the price. U pay for what u got. Product was out of stock. Did not know until ordered. Waited for 2-3 weeks and finally arrived.

Good price
For a cheep cutter, it works. I had only 3 ends to fix, so I haven't used it much. But for what I've needed it for, it worked good and the price was cheep enough so I didn't feel bad to only need it for a couple of uses. It's still in my phone/cable tool box for the next use.

Great product long shipping, replaced strippmaster Ideal.
I've used this product sometimes 100+ times a day and works great, a couple of minor adujustments requred with it's attached allen wrench. But that's whats good about this is that you can adjust the blades for best results, yes you can adjust each blade individually. I am acutally buying a couple more cause of the cheap price and the long standard shipping. Once again, shipping takes a while took 19 days from purchase date. (Directv installer)-Update: 3 weeks later and still works great... I use this quite a few times a day, you should know if you're a cable installer. ordered 2 more for back-ups
