I chose these out of many. Love the wide mouth for good cleaning. I also bought the Contigo glass water bottle to give as gifts because I was only allowed to by 3 of each color (green and white were cheaper at the time I purchased This one is better than Contigo (I do love their coffee mugs) because:1. Wide mouth that you can clean. I like to put lemons/lemon juice in mine, and if you do the same, you want to get in there to clean! I can refill it though without opening the screw lid - just pour from my britta into the drink opening over the sink if I spill.2. Easier to open to drink- contigo's is weird to twist open the attached lid. This pops off easily, but is very secure when on. YOu can put your finger in the loop to carry around. Not sure if this will loosen over time, but is very secure now when carrying on the loop.3. This one is heavier (thicker glass) than contigo.4. The silicone covering is all over, thus more protected (but adds weight)It is heavy! So much so I think there is water in it sometimes, when there is not, so don't fill it up. I don't notice a metallic taste from the top being stainless.

I like this container. I use it all day, every day.I used it for water. I fill it up, put it in the fridge and grab it on my way out the door. I do this several times a day.The water stays cool for a while. I used to use a plastic bottles and I now worry less about the plastic contamination in the water.

Well, it does make it easier to stay hydrated!If you're looking for safe glass water bottle for your commute, home, or office with hefty protection, no plastic and a great look, then I think this is the water bottle! Will it keep your drink hot or cold? No, thats a much more expensive vacuumed sealed bottle. Can you drop it with it breaking? Probably not. Its glass! Can you hit it with a hammer? No, its glass. But the silicon sleeve does make me confident that any regretful bumps won't break the glass.Have had this bottle for about a month now and I'm glad I bought it. It perfect for work and my commute. Its 100% plastic free and its made in the USA. Really can't beat this bottle for the price.

I read the reviews here and I hoped for a better experience. As with other reviewers; I also don’t like that you have to take off the silicone plug in order to unscrew the cap. It’s annoying because it should be long enough or just placed differently. It’s an ease of use issue. I agree that I also don’t like that the silicone sleeve is impossible to work off the glass. Water and soap gets under the sleeve, but you really can’t pull the sleeve off to clean and dry under there. Some other reviewers found mold under the sleeve. I can totally see now that it is def possible to create a moldy environment. I’m disappointed by that. Finally, I wanted to use a blender ball in there for protein drinks. The mouth is justtt narrow enough to not allow a 2 inch blender ball whisk to fit through. So I just put the powder and water in there and shook it. I made sure to tighten the lid *twice* and liquid still came sloshing out with each shake. It could be that maybe powder got in the screw threads and prevented a seal, but I didn’t detect it. What a bummer. It feels sturdy, but there’s design flaws with the silicone that I just do not enjoy.Update:It still leaks a little bit so I have to make sure it’s screwed on very tightly which is annoying. I don’t think you can remove the sleeve, BUT I’ve never gotten anything foul under it that I cannot rinse away. I see that they recommend hand washing. I think this is the best way. I have not gotten any mold from handwashing. Overall I like this glass bottle. It is very durable. I have dropped it on cement SEVERAL TIMES and it refuses to break which brings me joy. I have updated my 3 stars to 4 stars in order to reflect that.

I like fact that this bottle is Made in the USA!!! Much better quality than anything made in China. It is leak proof and easy to clean. You can handwash or it is dishwasher safe. The web page shows many colors, however there is only a lime green color available right now. I wanted to buy more for other family members with other colors to differentiate but no other options are available right now.

FIVE STARS for the great borosilicate glass bottle, stainless steel lid and the fit of the silicone plug. FOUR STARS OFF for the unpleasantly fruity chemical stench of all silicone parts: sleeve; stopper; and O-ring. And for the glue securing sleeve to bottle. Prolonged soaking in soapy water did not reduce the smell, nor release the sleeve. The manufacturer advice to remove the sleeve -- soak, run a finger underneath, pull it off -- fails. I finally could remove the sleeve off by working something under it long enough to reach and break free all the glue, but now the bottle is streaked with glue I can't remove. The stench. I bought the bottle for pure water but it quickly picks up the smell and taste. We own plenty of silicone kitchen items -- no smell at all. I've tried to hack this bottle (see photos), replacing the O-ring with one cut from a silicone spoon rest and lining the stopper with plastic wrap. But last night, I left the stopper off with a dribble of water left that I drank this morning -- blehhh. I think the water can pick up the outgassing just being near the sleeve. Hey, I really tried, but this bottle is going back. Anchor Hocking, please try again with silicone parts sourced elsewhere -- I really wanted to like this bottle.
