I guess that's possible thanks to the simplicity of USB-C DP alt mode. Shame that most switches still use HDMI. The USB 2.0 ports are acceptable trade-off as most of the USB bandwidth is already eaten up by DP 1.4.Hope it would last long.

i bought this device 10 days ago and it is fantastic. I am getting 144 hz on my pc but now it stopped working no matter what I did.

This switch may work well, but the photos for the product are very misleading. If you want to use this switch with two Macs and an Apple Studio monitor as displayed, you will also need a DisplayPort to Thunderbolt adapter. It can be a challenge to find one of these that will actually work in this directionality, since most are designed to take Thunderbolt in and put DisplayPort out, rather than the other way around.Also, you will lose any access to the Apple monitor's webcam, microphone, and its own built-in USB hub, etc., because DisplayPort won't send these signals back to your computer.If you don't care about these issues, then you may be happy with this device. Otherwise, Caveat emptor.If you want to share two Macs with one Apple Studio Monitor, strangely there seems to be no existing switch that will do this, preserving the functionality of the monitor's webcam, etc. It seems that your best bet would actually be to buy three Thunderbolt extension cables and twist-tie the ends together into a little bundle that lets you easily switch the monitor between computers by unplugging one of the connections in your little bundle and plugging together the alternate pairing.

Allmänt sladdrig hobbyprodukt. Kräver egen strömförsörjning till både KVM och laptop. Alltså 2 udb c i varje laptop vilket blir ganska mycket sladdar och trassel. Vet inte riktigt vad produkten tillför. Dessutom endast displayport utgång. Den här hamnar i lådan till återvinningscentralen.

I was a bit skeptical about this device but it actually works really well for me.I have a wireless keyboard/mouse dongle, headset receiver, and webcam connected to the KVM via USB. Monitor via DisplayPort. Then two laptops via USB-C.I can switch between the two devices easily and had no USB device problems so far.You’ll need a power supply for the KVM to power the USB devices. I use an Apple one.

Conmutador de muy buena calidad que nos permite compartir dos ordenadores distintos con una sola pantalla.Es de lo más práctico ya que en mi caso tengo conectado mi pc personal y el del trabajo. De esta manera, cuando termino de trabajar con solo pulsar el botón consigo ver la pantalla del ordenador de casa. Ideal para escritorios pequeños donde solo podemos permitirnos espacio para un solo ordenador.Además, con este solo clic no solo cambiamos la conexión de la pantalla sino que podemos seguir usando el mismo teclado y ratón gracias a los puertos USB destinados a este uso más un tercero para distintos periféricos.De lo mejor sin duda es lo que bien que funciona y los materiales con lo que está fabricado. Es rápido y no se calienta nada.Lo que menos me ha gustado es el precio el cual se estaría justificado para aquellos que tengan una pantalla 8k que no es mi caso.Lo he probado en una 4k y la calidad de imagen es muy buena.
