Farberware Nonslip Bamboo Cutting Board with Juice Groove, 11x14 Inch, White

I purchased the Farberware Nonslip Bamboo Cutting Board with Juice Groove, 11x14 Inch, White and am VERY pleased. It's sturdy, does not slip, not too heavy, very easy to hand-wash, and is priced very reasonably ($18). Highly recommended!

This is a very good cutting board with both a juice-catching side and a plain side. It has grippers at the corner that make it non-slip. The price is unbeatable, and it is an attractive, substantial piece. Now! People complained that it splinters. Well, that is because if you know anything about unfinished wood or bamboo surfaces, you should know that you have to SEASON THE BOARD before first use! You can use food-grade mineral oil or a butcher block wax/oil product designed for food-bearing wood surfaces. It takes minutes and will make the board last a long time, especially if you periodically re-do the seasoning. Also, don't put it in the dishwasher! Just wash it lightly by hand and then dry it immediately with a soft cloth. A little bit of extra work extends the life and use of boards like this. Don't use any vegetable or seed oil on the board or they will turn rancid. Also, use one board for meat and another for everything else. No one should complain if they don't want to do these long known protective things to maintain the sanitation and integrity of a cutting board like this.

This cutting board stays in place whilst in use which is a good safety feature. The bamboo is easier on my knives than vinyl, which helps to keep my knives sharper longer. The size of the board is adequate for my cooking needs, and fits nicely on my kitchen counter.

Great Cutting Board-No Longer have Any Plastic cutting boards as they end up adding micro plastics into the food, water etc that you are cutting or cleaning the cutting board in. Appreciate the rubber corners on the board that help keep it in place while using it. Easy to clean, just ensure that you dry it off as best as possible after washing it. Also use a food grade mineral oil for your wooden utensils and this cutting board.

Love this. It's a perfect medium sized board that is comfortable to use, easy to wash, and makes me feel relieved that I'm not using plastic. I've had it about 2 months now and use it heavily every day. It is getting some scratches, but not deep ones. I see no splitting or other negative issue. It's also reasonably light and fits comfortably in a normal cabinet. I'm very very happy with it.

Really well made. Easy clean up and is beautiful to look at so I leave it out on the countertop.

Good quality cutting board, nice size and material, the price is a little higher than other cutting boards but in my opinion its worth the money since a 10$ cutting board isn't as nice. I bought it because I knew it was a good board and am happy with it.

This is a great cutting board strong and sturdy and cleans easily and thoroughly.

The board looks nice and the build quality is good however the board smells like vinegar. I could live with that but unfortunately the smell transfers to what ever food you are preparing on it! This I can’t live with. I’ve tried bleach, I’ve even risked melting the glue and put it in the dishwasher and it still smells. I may have just been unlucky so I’ve put it down to a life lesson a purchased an alternative from B&M. If you saw me in the shop sniffing chopping boards, this is the reason

I ordered this to replace a nearly identical cutting board that I already had, but had accidentally broken. I need a cutting board of this size. I like the silicone corners because they grip the counter and prevent sliding. I also like the two different sides, one with a trough and one without, because this offers me more versatility. I have used this several times now, and it has performed quite well. I use it for cutting produce, not meat. I have a different cutting board for meat. I always wash this by hand, and it cleans up well. If i needed another, i would purchase this again.
