Not a perfect solution for seat pain, but the product itself is well made and stood up to first road trip.
This certainly seems to be a quality product and it gets full stars for being as advertised. Feels very sturdy and definitely not cheap or flimsy. I utilized this for a road trip after receiving, so I think I tested it appropriately before reviewing. Six hours in total.First, unlike some cushions, bravo for being a nice simple black with a fairly subtle logo. Both sides are soft, kind of like a thin suede, the top is black, and the bottom is a dark grey with the valve on that side. The logo lettering is silver. I have to agree with some of the other reviewers - it inflates perfectly adequately by itself and even though it isn't 'full' I'm always squeezing air out to get it 'almost' deflated for a more comfortable seat. I expect that it was probably inflated too much if it "burst" mid-flight for the one reviewer. Altitude apparently does that, so I wouldn't recommend "adding air".And, I can't imagine wanting to blow it up fully - just doesn't seem it would be comfortable like that? There also appears to be some sort of padding within so it's not just 'air'. I personally had no issues getting it back in the bag, but it comes with two elastic straps if you don't want to bother with it.I purchased this for flying and appreciate the self-inflating and subtle appearance. Unfortunately, a) it doesn't really help my seat pain all that much (I don't have sciatica or anything - just it seems at my age sitting for anything longer than 30 minutes hurts) and b) it is a lot big for minimalist traveling. I travel with just a personal item and this is actually fairly large - I was thinking maybe it would pass for an umbrella, but it's way too big. So, I think I'll just leave it in the car for road trips and keep looking for another solution for flying.

So very comfy and it folds up ...second purchase
This is great back support when I'm in the car for long periods of time. I just blow the cushion up and it's ready. You can push in the valve after you inflate it. Some others you have to figure out where to put it so it doesn't dig into your back.I love that this deflates easily and it rolls up to fit in a small case. There are 3 elastics holding it together. Unfortunately you have to keep them safe somewhere because they're not attached. It would have been nice to have them attached so you wouldn't have to keep track of them. The one wish I have for this cushion is I'd like it to be just a bit bigger. It's big enough to cover my back but sometimes you just want a bit more support. This is a great compact cushion to buy if you have back problems.

Better Quality than I'd expected
I bought this to use on a long plane trip. It made the hard airplane seats tolerable and served its purpose well. The most comfortable thing (in fact, the ONLY comfortable thing) on my commercial flight was this cushion. It doesn't take much to blow it up! Really only one breath -- two tops. The one-way valve design definitely helps! One needs to roll it up to get all the air out after use.TIP: If you're planning to use this on an airplane, don't inflate it fully. Leave it a little "underinflated" to allow for expansion.EXPLANATION (If Needed): At higher altitudes the inflatable seat will expand (meaning the cushion will get harder). I ended up letting a little bit of air out of the seat when we were at cruising height to make it comfortable. It was a little humorous -- the cushion was WAY more inflated at higher altitudes than it was when we were on the tarmac.I hadn't thought about it until I saw that balloon-like cushion, but... The airplane cabins are pressurized, but don't seem to reach the same pressure as we have on the ground. Therefore, there is less atmospheric pressure pushing back on the seat cushion, so it naturally expands a bit more. It was FULLY inflated at high altitude! LOL!

Small and light enough to fold into chair yet makes the chair more comfortable.
This pad is thin. It doesn't look like much "inflated". Another review said not to over-inflate and we learned that is right. Just let it inflate itself and then seal. It is thin enough that we keep it folded with the chair. However, it HELPS! It makes longer stays in the chair more comfortable. Very good!

PICTURE IS WRONG FOR THIS PRODUCT!
It's an air cushion about 2" thick. I do like it for sitting on hard surfaces such as your kitchen chair,You could also use it for wooden seats or other hard surfaces, but I do not subject myself to those. It's more comfortable than the average blow up seat.

Would never buy this again
I bought this cushion and liked it a lot. It was comfortable and easy to take traveling. However after a year, it began self inflating beyond a comfortable level, and I would have to deflate it and reseal it, only for the same thing to occur. I called the company and they said there was nothing they could do. I bought another one, and it began doing the same thing about 70 days after buying it. I called the company asking them to replace it. They refused saying it was past their 60 day warranty. Very bad customer service and very poor quality product.

Still inflatable after 5 years, has not deteriorated
I bought this product five years ago, and after using on two airline trips recently I thought that I should tell others about how this product still inflates and holds it's shape after five years. Rarely do I give a product review anywhere, but I thought that this product has really held up over time. Granted, I did not travel that much during the initial years of the pandemic, but now that I am using it again I can state that it has not deteriorated in quality at all. It is easy to deflate, put in my carryon, inflate a little and use during a trip. You can roll it up or fold it in half when deflated for storing. For long term storage I deflate it and roll it up. I am not always able to get it all the way in the storage sleeve it came with, but I can get it pretty small, roll it up and pack it. Good value for the price.
