My new ONNAIS portable, rechargeable, case is awesome. It is exactly the size I needed. I can use a key to open, a fingerless touch option, and a private code option. I use the touch pad, and it is super fast. A blue light comes on when the case is first opened, for easy viewing.The case is a strong alloy and I like the flat matte black shade. There is enough padding inside to hold everything securely, without moving inside. The case also has a usb charger option, which is much better than my previous case. The handle is easy to extend and very secure. I think the weight is about 5-6 lbs, but is easy to carry.I am super pleased with this biometric case, and highly recommend.

I’ve had this for about a week now and no problems so far. I love that this is more than just a gun safe. It comes with a plastic rack looking thing with straps on it so you can slide items into the straps. It also had a zipper pouch attached to the door/lid (not sure what to call that… sorry) to put other items into as well. If you are going to be using this a safe for a firearm that you might need in a moments notice, I would not recommend using the plastic storage rack thing that comes sitting on top of the foam as that is just one more thing getting in the way of getting to your firearm if you need it in a pinch. But it is a cool feature to have if you are traveling with this and taking it with you places.I am just using this as a gun safe for the time being and really like the fact that it came with the foam pad insert that is already perforated to make it easy to fit your firearm and magazines into. It’s not a perfectly snug fit like kaizen foam would be, but it’s going to be stationary in my nightstand so it’ll be fine.The opening mechanism seems of work great. All 4 methods work the way they are supposed to. Word of advice: Make sure when you are programming your finger, you get all 4 “sides” of your finger so the reader can get your whole finger and not just the middle of your finger print. Makes it a heck of a lot easier when going to try to open the safe with your finger print and you put your finger at a weird angle. If it doesn’t have the sides of your finger print, it won’t open.The sounds that come from this are a tad bit loud but can be turned off pretty easily if you follow the instructions. It’ll take you all of about 10 seconds max to turn the sounds off and will most likely help the battery life as well. However, the motor that turns to lock to open the safe will always make noise as that is mechanical and will always make noise no matter what. If you use the key, the motor is not needed and the safe won’t make any noise being opened.Battery life seems to be really good actually. I was worries I was going to have to charge it more often then not but after reading some other reviews, this can last for months on end before ever needing to be charged. And it charges pretty quickly. It came shipped with 60% charge and it took about 10 minutes to charge it to 100%. I would assume it would take right around 30-45 minutes to charge from 0-100%. For those that are wondering, it will only charge at 1W. Yes… I tested it. So having a 5W charger is probably best to charge up this safe.Overall, I’m giving this 5 stars. I got a couple other gun safes to try out and this was one of them. It was the first one I opened to see if I liked it and let’s just say that I didn’t even open the boxes to the other ones to test them out. I loved this one so much that I didn’t even bother with the other ones. This one was just that good lol. For the price I got it for, it is far better than the other ones in its price range.

Overall, a great small gun lockbox with a few shortcomings. Aside from these shortcomings, this product could almost be perfect.The shortcomings:The Fingerprint Reader- using setup system itself is guided by its “vocal map” that makes it easy to set up a fingerprint. I actually love that there is a complete overkill to setup fingerprints for access. You could literally set up access for all fingers you have (plus toes lol) and still have more than you need. That being said, the reliability of the fingerprint access is hit or miss. Sometimes I can open it on the first attempt and others it takes a second try. Still, about 99% of the time I’ve been able to access my lockbox by the second pass. Nonetheless, I’d still take this imperfect fingerprint feature over my traditional “combo dial” lockboxes. If SHTF, I would just be concerned about being able to frantically retrieve my handgun efficiently. Maybe it’s my greasy lotion or post-lunch fingers tips, or maybe it’s the fingerprint reader itself. Certainly it is not perfect and should be noted prior to purchase, especially if that is what you are purchasing for. Not a deal breaker for me.Sturdiness & Aesthetics- the saying “built like a tank” certainly applies to this lockbox. It feels and looks robust inside and out. I do love it’s rigid and boxy look, and sure it allows to maximize its interior space. Such beautiful touches, like the collapsible carrying handle that feels well attached and trusty. Even the imperfect fingerprint reader flows well with its quality design. The look and feel alone, makes this price of admission worth it.Features and Useabilty- the company really designed the user features and thought of everything. This thing comes packed with 4 different options to access the lockbox: I love the the extra keys and RFID card should I need to ditch the fingerprint reader. RFID card works with certainty. The 5-buttons on the top of the lockbox is a nice touch to have but I think can be a bit more cumbersome than the other options. The system and setup is easy to use and the “vocal map” is actually also really intuitive to navigate with. I assumed it would be clunky to work through but was wrong. Neat little details including the removable tray that has elastic bands atop. I put my tactical pen/knife and extra mag with room to boot! So as long as your items have a low-profile design, you should be able to fit a small handful of small accessories on this tray. I have an 8-inch S&W knife and could probably add it as well. You also get the an ultra thin lock cable. More a deterrent as it seems like a sharp blade could cut through. Still, this company packed so many little touches and features making this an excellent value proposition IMO. When comparing with other similar lock boxes, you should definitely consider matching up this lockbox’s repertoire of user features.The Battery- by the time I’ve written this review I will have had this product for about 5 months. Upon arrival, I of course gave it a full charge before stowing away. After having it at about 2.5 months, I did give it a charge “just because”- the voice said I had 80% charge at the time. Fast forward to now, it says I have 80% charge. So as long as this little voice is true to its battery status, I would infer that this lockbox can hold an exceptional charge. Of course that will vary depending on your usage. I am a concealed carrier so I do access my lockbox about 2-3 times/week when going out on the weekend, so if that gives you a better idea about battery longevity and mileage. Lastly, I really like the small detail charging touch that this company went with a USB-C for faster charging vs. your aging USB-A to micro USB. Again, these small things make me come back to a company and it’s products.Space- being that this is a small lockbox, you have to have the right intention in mind. Because I’ve enjoyed this product and found its price reasonable, I actually bought two of these: one for my S&W MPShield 9 and one for my Springfield XMOD2 45 compact. The interior space of course has room for my more subcompact Shield with an extra mag besides it- plus foam cutouts to protect it. Since my XDMOD2 is a bit bigger, it has room for it with its extended mag in place + an extra mag- using a bit less of the provided foam cutouts… by can still protect my gun from the metal periphery of the interior. It’s a good size but don’t expect to be putting it a full-sized handgun with an extra mag!Overall - as I said before this is an excellent value proposition and is packed with quality and features. It looks and feels the part for sure. It is definitely not perfect and my biggest gripe is the less-reliable fingerprint reader but it hasn’t offset me too much for my personal usage. Of course I do recommend this product seeing that I’ve bought two! One thing to note however is that between my two lockboxes, one its mechanically imperfect: when I access it, the fingerprint registers but the mechanical hinge itself has issues opening so I sometimes have to manually force it open upon engagement. The other lockbox works perfectly fine. I probably should have exchanged it but sometimes this just becomes a hassle with a busy schedule. My shortcomings described, keep me from giving this a full five star review. If these were addressed however, I would be more inclined to say it’s right near perfect!

One of the best buys I bought since owning a gun. It is small and light so you can take it with you. I love the fact that it has multiple security. Combination, fingerprint and key. It is very important to keep all of your firearms locked up. It's light and the size of it allows you to keep it next to your bed. The kids and grandbabies cannot get into it . It also comes with a key tap device to get into it in case you cannot remember your combination and you're not using fingerprint. It's really awesome It's very durable great product for the price I highly recommend this if you own firearms.
