If you like the Mahleb flavor for your bread or other products this version is just GREAT. It's a product of Turkey which is probably the best country to currently obtain this spice. The very best country of origin for the spice is Syria, however due to the current war there it's just not available. As I said in the title this is an unusual flavor and not something you would buy blind and use. If you like Mahler this is a great version.

Received the mahlepi the next day after ordering. Was so grateful for the quick delivery because I needed to bake my Greek New Year's breads the next day. Very fresh and fragrant spice...

Met expectations

We use this in making braided cheese and was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of this spice as well as the value for the money.

I ordered ground mahleb from Greece and quickly used the small package. It took weeks to arrive from Greece. No complaints there.But I needed a larger size Mahleb so ordered here. Package arrived within 24 hours! A lifetime supply. But the product appears quite different from my other purchase. It may not be as fresh ? But it seems to be lighter with a little fragrance. Figure I'll have to use more but that's ok. 5 ounces goes a long way.

Mahlab/mahlepi is hard to find in my area, especially around the holidays. Plus whatever is sold is usually in tiny containers, so the hunt continues every few months.This was fresh and nicely ground. Nit as super fine as I'm used to, but it mixes easily in whatever breads I am making. Great flavor and an excellent amount!!! Now I can relax, well as much as is possible around the holidays, not having to worry about having the important spices I need.

I used it to make choregs. Out of the jar, the mahleb tasted differently from the ones I have gotten before. It was very difficult to find mahleb in the Springfield, MA area. I used to get it at Milano Importers in Spfld, but they did not have any this year. Anyway, it was good to be able to get it from Cerez Pazari The choregs I made just came out of the oven and they look and smell wonderful. Will review this mahleb right after my family tastes them on Easter Sunday. I could not give the flavor 5 stars yet, but I will send another review on the flavor after we have them. Thank You.

I got this to make my greek easter bread..... I'm sorry but I didn't taste anything.... I ate it straight from the bottle...it could have been sand for all I tasted...I don't like leaving 1 star reviews but I expected it to have a taste....
